  2. he did [tweet] [/tweet] no general interest, only appeals to a few select individuals, guess it's a niese market normally i wouldn't laugh but i let my syndergaard down Duda, that was hilarious!

  4. Hey, why bring a kid to the stadium at all what with the random acts of violence by drunk fans! And forget getting into a car, that right there is basically child abuse. Screw that. I sat in the same general vicinity with an infant one time. It was great. Stop worrying about what other people are doing.
  5. And then you will be vindicated!
  6. better than john danks' deck Damn, ruined that one
  7. Raanta for a Rangers forward haggerty
  8. Let us all pray to our deceased relatives to ask forgiveness for our atrocious performance so that we may be blessed with wins aplenty. Also roach clips are a fun topic.
  9. I love how emotional the announcers get describing these kicks as if they aren't just a series of goalies randomly jumping the wrong way.
  10. how dare they end a world cup game with this mockery of the sport

  13. he was doomed because he's ryne sandberg He probably could have hidden his weaknesses by inheriting a better ballclub.
  14. he actually claims to have never had alcohol, iirc, according to one of the beat writers (can't remember which) the lack of tolerance built up over time explains the constant hangovers
  15. Everything is coming up gay today. [tweet] [/tweet]

  17. So it sounds like they are going to shut down the catcher thing after a while and probably move him into LF for a short period of time before a callup? I'm hoping this is something they'll do closer to August than September. Lots of other interesting stuff here: http://www.bleachernation.com/2015/06/26/theo-epstein-speaks-buyers-and-sellers-lester-schwarber-maddon-more/ Such a scenario seems like an obvious September call-up situation strictly for 2015 bat purposes. Then he can go back to AAA to catch more in early 2016.
  18. http://www.fangraphs.com/scoutboard.aspx?draft=2015int&type=0&pos=all&sort=0,d He has the Cubs signing the following players, with a projected bonus: 18. Aramis Ademan, SS, Dominican Republic - $2,000,000 23. Christopher Martinez, 3B, Dominican Republic - $1,500,000 21. Yonathan Perlaza, SS, Venezuela - $1,200,000 31. Jonathan Sierra, RF, Dominican Republic - $1,200,000 35. Miguel Amaya, C, Panama - $1,200,000 39. Anderson Amarista, RHP, Venezuela - $1,200,000 41. Yunior Perez, RHP, Dominican Republic - $650,000 NR Luis Diaz, SS, Dominican Republic - $350,000 He has the Dodgers signing Lucious Fox for $5.5 million (!) and doesn't have a team yet for Cuban defector Julio Martinez. So he has them signing a whole bunch of "good" prospects but not in on any of the elite? That seems pretty cool to me.
  19. It's not just the season. He came off as an unfriendly, crotchety guy at the Cubs Convention too. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there I can't imagine more than a handful of players would actually want to be at the Cubs Convention. Former players in need of attention and a paycheck sure, but I would be skeptical of actual current players that wanted to be there.
