Your excessive hand-wringing over this move would indicate otherwise. I'm not sure where you're getting hand-wringing. If we were talking a 26-27 year old Clayton Richard, then it would absolutely make sense. But the 31 year old version is a small step above Rodrigo Lopez. Which is great if you need a quick filler for a hole we didn't have. But my primary point of view is that we're hitting the time of year where while some teams are going to be gunning for front end starters, others are going to be looking for depth. And Jackson and Wood are the types of guys that the latter could use. Even if we could finagle something along the lines of a Corey Black or Jonathan Martinez, that would still make it worthwhile. It's the day after and you are still whining. That is hand wringing.
