Again, having Hamels from 32-35 is not really better than having someone like Price from 30-36. You're cutting out a big chunk of the good with a similar ramp for decline. And that's if they're equivalent pitchers, which in this case they are not. You are making a huge and likely incorrect assumption about Price's contract.
