  9. get your anti-semitic rhetoric out of this thread Was thisclose to making a sure it's the mets but that's uncalled for joke earlier. You win.
  10. The inconsistencies of the rules are what I don't get. I thought he didn't complete the full "process" of the catch because the ball was coming loose just as he got his second step down. They ruled it on the field as an interception, so my interpretation is that you needed indisputable evidence to overturn the call. The more replays that I saw, the more it appeared to me that the initial call was the correct one and that it should've been an INT. Then again, I don't understand what a catch is anymore. Admittedly, I thought that Calvin Johnson rule was a catch, Dez's was a catch, Devonta Freeman's reception last week was a catch, and I thought this was a pick, so what the hell do I know? At this point, I think every NFL officiating crew is guessing with the catch rules. I never bought the "I don't know what a catch is anymore" until they ruled this was a catch. They had gotten fairly consistent ruling that you basically needed to actually catch the ball and keep it for it to be a catch. If nobody caught that ball I guarantee they just rule it incomplete and nothing comes up it.
  11. ] I like this very much but where's the proof? 900 OPS against, 6+ ERA. 3 HR in 10 innings

  13. he was narrating in the voice of the BAITC, Best Astrophysists In The Cosmos. The Moon is their Molina.
  14. for the record, that kind of nonsensical [expletive] talking is considered normal baseball discussion by these louts. FWIW, we had no meaningful run-ins with Mets fans this weekend. The only confrontation was between Mets fans when some ogre cut the line and insisted nobody would do anything because he can do whatever he wants because nobody ever does anything because he can do whatever he wants. It was highly entertaining. Many fans stopped to asked us if we flew in for the game and commented on the price of tickets in Chicago.
  15. he looks like he has people skills, a real people person
  16. So the Bears managed to lose to one of the few teams that are probably actually worse than them. They get a bye week to think up ways to be more conservative on offense and terrible on defense. The Bears don't score many points, and neither do the Vikings. Minnesota doesn't do much in the air but they are one of the better running teams. Good QBs can have their way with the Bears defense but even without a good QB the Vikings should be able to rack up the yards on the ground. Probably not going to see a line on this game for a while but I have to imagine the Bears will be dogs again.
  17. Looks like he's flirted with an average of 93 mph a bunch this year: http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfxo.aspx?playerid=4153&position=P&pitch=SI Between the cold, this being the first time he wasn't on extra rest in a while, and his repertoire being liable to measurement issues(he basically throws fastballs/sliders from 90-95 all the time), I wouldn't worry too much about that single data point. He wasn't on extra rest? I thought he very specifically was given extra rest.
  18. Hey guys guess what, there's still more baseball to be played this October. You may remember me from such winning streaks as this year's first 6 game winning streak that began on 5/11, against the nymets and degrim. That was pretty fun. :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: :flythew: Those two Mets win do mean the Cubs will have to head back to Queens to finish off this series, but that's all good because it's actually going to get up to about 60 next weekend, which is warm enough to whip out your dong. Anyway, first things first they need to beat this jambroni. http://www.altpress.com/images/uploads/feature_header_images/blakeanderson.jpg The game is on a Tuesday and everybody knows Tuesday is for tacos, so give your best and enjoy the baseball.
