  1. well instead of one day game, they're now getting two... not a huuuuge difference, especially with the last one is "if necessary". 3 referencing weekdays games, but point taken. is there a huge difference in viewership for saturday day games vs. saturday night games? and how meaningful is the difference? probably not as big of a difference as weekday but there has to be some difference. Plus these guys go night/day/night/day/day/night/night. That's annoying if I care about watching either team.

  3. It's not even accurate anymore, right? They were saying that the person who made one of the earlier posts in our thread sounded like a serial killer. That's probably a pretty fair assessment.
  4. you can edit it yourself
  5. http://deadspin.com/kyle-schwarber-was-once-a-high-school-show-choir-stud-1736920341 Schwarber was always Broadway bound.
  6. Fox would be pretty upset if they had to take a back seat in every cross over game.
  7. No. There are no expectations. They left it open when they announced the injury but there is as much reason to believe he's done as there is that he will return for any notable amount of games.
  8. There are duel games on Tuesday and Wednesday, but game 5 is Thursday and that is the only scheduled game so there is no way in hell it starts earlier than primetime.
  9. Do you wanna know how douchey Mets fan are? I was at the Victor Diaz game where Dusty did everything he could to screw up the bullpen. This one douchebro was yelling, at the Mets, the entire game. He was disgusted by Piazza in particular and just relentlessly went after him and all the rest the entire game. This was relatively close the Mets dugout and late in a completely lost Mets season so it was quiet and the team definitely heard. Most of the Mets fan in the area were disgusted by this guy. They hated him. They were just there to spend a nice little September Saturday at the park. Well, 9th inning comes around and douchebro is still giving it to the Mets and everybody still hates him and then Diaz hits the homerun and douchebro turns on a dime to celebrate and all these fans that hated this guy suddenly turned into douchebro and had the time of their lives with him. Yankees fans are arrogant pricks who have mostly accomplished nothing in their own lives and they tend to live beyond their means to keep up appearances of being successful. Mets fans on the other hand just want to be able to act like Yankees fan. They aspire to live beyond their means and gloat about how great their lives are going but deep down they know they have none of the confidence needed to pull it off.
  10. I hadn't. What did he/say do to indicate this? I'm out of the loop on this one. In a nutshell, He said that he something along the lines of...he doesn't agree with the gay lifestyle but that doesn't mean he would not accept and get to know a gay person. He is a devout Christian and is of the viewpoint that homosexuality is wrong, but says that one should dislike the action but still love the person. It was much more condescending treat them like something lesser doublespeak that is typical of ignorant bible beating homophobes.
  11. These postseason shirts are hideous. Cubs were too
  12. Fat man in a little shirt.
  13. Wait, Daniel Murphy is a met, isn't he?
  14. I'm the same age and he is easily the best Cub to play in our lives and the only thing that made them relevant and competitive for years. He's awesome and those that hated on him are idiots and the owner is a douche for shunning him.
  15. if they reach out to him I will hunt you down mister.
  16. That is literally one of the dumbest ideas anybody on this site has ever had.
  17. and when do we want it?
  18. Exactly. Don't legitimize this idiotic line of thinking. Plus, it takes a great moment away from people who, you know, had something to do with the Cubs. Pretending like meatballs exist doesn't magically make the hell they put Bartman through go away. I really don't give a [expletive] what it "legitimizes" because it would ultimately just be a nice gesture after the fact to a guy who basically had his life ruined just for being a Cubs fan who went to a game. No, it would ultimately be dumb as [expletive]. A nice gesture would be to send him a free t-shirt.
