    A lot of us care too much but aren't ridiculous in how we express it.

    Oh, I know he's not responsible for the 300ish they've spent. But I do put blame on him for not going harder after an elite SP at the deadline, with where their teams win curve is. And considering they can blow past where their payroll is even now, I guess I lay some blame on them not getting an elite arm last offseason. To not address it at either point seems like a true mistake for sure. They definitely could have spent on the pen at either time too, but went for lesser guys, instead of the elite guys in that instance as well. I may be nitpicking him, but they've got money coming off, had the ability to do much more monetarily, and just didn't utilize the payroll advantage nearly as much as what I would have thought he would have. They have two cy young caliber guys and a crapton of depth. And you are criticizing him for the exact opposite reason you stated in the first place.

    wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait you stayed to watch the Mets celebrate on the Cubs home field but yet you purposely left before your favorite baseball team came out to salute, you, and the other remaining fans???? As a baseball fan I can handle other teams succeeding. I've seen one pennant clinching before (last year's ALCS) and thought for historic reasons it would be cool to see one in both leagues. That doesn't bother me. I'm pissed at these players for not showing up this series. I will be there full throat next season. And I was every game up until last night this season. But I am not over it yet. And I definitely wasn't last night. Sounds like they did a better job of showing up than you did.

    It took Quinneville like three years to make the top 5 longest tenured head coaches in the NHL. A handful of coaches do stick around forever, but NHL GM/owners have very quick trigger fingers with these guys. 19 guys started at their current position in 2013 or more recently. MLB managers don't really do anything. And since very few teams make the playoffs, guys aren't fired just for missing them once, where that happens in the NHL a lot. Any quality organization that misses the playoffs has a great excuse to fire a guy.

    He's an old dude with young kids and multiple concussions in his history. I could see it happening.

    Ross had a couple brain bruises this year and I could easily see him walking away. I think Montero/Schwarber has real potential.
