  1. I'm not even sure slowness is as much of the issue as just terrible decisions.
  2. Is the world going to stop pretending they care about Ronda rousey now?
  3. Didn't even know McPhee was questionable
  4. I've not paid any attention to CBA talk yet, is it looking like a strike is likely or something? Just some chatter about agents saying the players' share has shrunk and they should insist on returning to the old levels.
  5. So does any of this have to do with the CBA expiring next December? Take your $15m this season because there's no point in taking a 3-4 year deal for less average pay when you might miss all of 2017 anyway and/or fight for a greater share of the pie starting in that season.
  6. Didn't Hossa miss a bit of time with injury?

  8. Alshon tweaked his groin in practice and is day to day. STL down to 7 point favorite
  9. The Bears are scoring 25 ppg with Cutler on the field (counting the Cards game as a 1/2). That would be just outside of the top 10 in the NFL, and the Bears have 0 points from defense and special teams TDs. I think the Bears very well put up some points, even against the Rams, now that the OL is somewhat stable and Alshon Jeffery is 100%. They are 22nd in ypg and 25th in ppg. The line is hardly stable and Jeffery is the only skill position player worth a darn. They are averaging 23.2 PPG in games Cutler starts and finishes. That would be ranked 16.5 and doesn't take into account all the other teams that have lost QBs that may want to wipe out their lowest output to make the same argument, like the team they are currently closest to on that list, the Cowboys. They've moved the ball a little but have a lot of trouble scoring. They don't have enough weapons, they can't block and apparently their FG kicker decided to invite some competition next season. They are actually making do with what they have and kind of performing above expectations thanks to a professional coaching staff and a competent QB. But it still leaves a lot to be desired.
  10. how could this happen, he wasn't even a cardinal
  11. Oooooooh, Wes Welker is back and playing for the Rams. After seeing Danny Woodhead hurt the Bears last night one might expect a slightly larger version of his grittiness to do some damage next week.
  12. The rare road game on CBS thanks to the new TV formatting, I'm sure the big eye is really happy with that decision now. The Rams, who have scored 7 more points than they have allowed and have pretty much defined mediocrity in the NFL for the past decade are a somewhat astonishing 8 point favorite over the moderately competent Bears. Only GB and Cincy are bigger favorites this week. That tells me Vegas wants people to pour money into the Bears and lose it. Nick Foles is the QB and does nothing particularly well. STL does have a stingy defense and since the Bears don't score much anyway this could be tough. I continue to refuse to root for better draft slots with the Bears so they might as well try and win this game.
  13. Yup, they need like 6 better bodies on defense and multiple lineman, 5-6 pick differential isn't deciding the outcome. Nfl teams can win without ever picking top 5.
  14. I think it's taunting truffle
  15. This whole thing basically boils down to a bunch of (likely) financially secure, tenured professors manipulating some (likely) financially insecure students to wage a proxy war against an administration they don't like, with little regard to to the consequences for those or future students, or the racial divisions that will arise. This isn't about some kids being called names (although a hunger strike against that is ridiculous enough). This is totally self-absorbed professors being totally self-absorbed professors. These short-sighted fools don't even see how their actions are just making the argument against tenure stronger. Who the [expletive] are you to judge how the targets of racism should react? hes Lenny, that's pretty much his specialty
  16. Tough to make a good stew with these ingredients
  17. McDonald's, apparently. They also have a Jerry Rice one wearing Cowboys gear. And the gimmick is to be open to trying something you once thought was revolting?
  18. so was it a one day fantasy commercial?
