    Update your processor. They moved the ball until they got near the red zone. They have no skill players and can't convert. It was a stupid idea to basically say, "I don't know who you can throw to jay, but try it anyway."

    i wasn't going to bother the first time you said it, but since this makes twice... who is to say any of that would've played out the same had he kicked, especially since not kicking resulted in them getting the ball where they did? it probably wouldn't have. going for the TD was fine. No, it was a bad decision. They were still down eight and would have need another scoring drive. They had next to zero chance to actually convert the TD. It was a very bad decision.

    I don't recall the setting, but I've heard somebody mention the faqs at the back of some book and thought they were talking about facts for a second. Very rare to hear though.

    In four years of constant waiver shuffling, the only player of any consequence that has emerged has been Valbuena, unless I'm just completely spacing out and missing someone. One free Valbuena every four years isn't nothing, but let's not overpraise the situation. I know it isn't a waiver claim but wasn't Rondon a Rule V pick? And how did we acquire Coghlan, was he just an outright FA? that's not a thing

    With two cancer survivors on the team I think that is a recipe for disaster in the clubhouse.

    Unless he despises Cooper and/or the White Sox at this point, I have to think he would have taken the qualifying offer if that were the case. He turns 31 in January, another year works against him as much as it works for him, in all likelihood. He could take a short-term deal that still leaves him the opportunity to cash out with one last deal. Maybe he'd take a 2-year deal with an opt out if he reaches a certain innings limit. 2/28-35 gives him security if he can't bounce back but plenty of opportunity to cash out big if he does well. Short-term commitment at a fairly high dollar amount from a team perspective wouldn't be a terrible risk.
