  1. They traded a player they couldn’t afford
  2. Bosa seems cooked to me.
  3. Sure the headline isn’t great but he is a guard that was forced into playing tackle and he struggled there. he’s also a highly paid guard and they franchised their younger better guard and needed to make room. it makes sense why KC would look to move an older expensive guard when they have extremely highly paid linemen elsewhere and a qb on a post SB winning contract. he’s better than anybody that played in the interior of the bears line last year and that is what matters. Chicago needs him and can afford him while KC cannot afford him and have a better guard on the roster.
  4. It probably doesn’t matter but I’d lean toward letting the better of the two choose where he’s most comfortable let the other guy adjust
  5. I don’t think a luxury pick is a real thing. The bears need impact players and can use one of them at a variety of positions.
  6. They still need a tackle and have a desperate need for pass rush. I’d be fine with Jeanty but the lack of quality qbs and the resurgence of the RB position makes me doubt he’d last to 10.
  7. I think they have to extend him, as his cap hit is nearly $27m
  8. I don’t hate it. They forced their own hand here with how poorly they managed the roster the past three years and punting on opportunities to stockpile while maintaining draft capital. And now they have to give away that capital just to rise to decent. The more work they do now will allow for BPA flexibility with their first three picks. Two guard specific interior lineman pretty much wraps up the Jenkins era who already had one (injured) foot out the door. If they sign the center then they can still bring in a tackle and maybe have the line set for the remainder of Caleb’s rookie contract. But they can’t get complacent and will need to keep bringing guys in even if that will be harder now without a 4th in 2026.
  9. A certain segment of bears media and fandom must be apoplectic that Bears aren’t tendering sanborn
  10. 9m base plus 8.5 roster bonus. he’s owed 17m this year and I am fine with that. This is what happens when you sit out two straight free agency periods in order to tank. They had not choice but to spend this money and a whole lot more for other guys
  11. Yes. Shocking that the stats for a player on the least talented team of the last three years are bad.
  12. Seth Jones was not a negative player. He is a quite good defenseman. He was overpaid in a a flat cap era for a terrible team. That skewed perception. But he was a top three Blackhawks player
  13. In some ways it doesn’t really matter, because you have to imagine there’s a very good chance Chicago doesn’t even make the pick. They have to start looking to trade picks for established players ASAP, or else they run the risk of stalling out in lottery land. The buffalo path is still on the table. I think they have to find a way to acquire two expensive players before next season to meet the cap floor. Free agency might get them one, but a more realistic approach is some sort of summer blockbuster with a team that comes up short this spring and wants a refresh.
  14. 2026 or 2027 pick? regardless this is good
  15. Boy howdy has this team gone to horsefeathers
  16. The bears are desperate for impact players. If the best player in the draft drops to them at 10 they have to take him. He won’t drop.
  17. AH is inevitable but I doubt there’s a whole bunch of randos that know it’s a done deal and nobody reporting it.
  18. The food that makes Chicago a tremendous food city is not the food you’d feed professional athletes
  19. Just use the masters app. It’s great.
  20. You can never have too many left footed kickers
  21. It sounds like Jones has asked for a trade.
  22. Also Ian Cunningham will not be the Jaguars next GM, but based on the photos Jacksonville did hire a guy that matched in Charlottesville and on January 6.
  23. I’m on record believing glove based WAR is a cross between a mirage and unsustainable. Guys who can’t hit can’t last
  24. We will shift from saying he sucks to saying the guy who replaces him sucks just as much.
