    It is incredibly unlikely. they made a point in cutting off from the past to have the new kids step into the spotlight. What role would Kane even have here? An aging small defensively challenged forward that can score is something that teams with a well rounded roster could utilize. But he doesn’t really fit this team. And it would be an abrupt about face from prior direction.

    I think the veteran backup is a grossly overrated concept but hopefully this means Bagent has a little pressure to not just be the guaranteed lady in waiting. One of those two should at least be at risk of getting cut in August

    Following a relatively positive debut from the well known first round picks, the Blackhawks also signed Taige Harding, a 2021 3rd rounder who just finished senior season at Providence. Originally from Glasgow, he will be going to AHL and most likely will not be much more than an occasional call up if he ever makes NHL. But he’s another big boy.
