  1. I dislike Montero a little more everyday. Not only does he suck at hitting but he can't throw out people trying to steal. I don't blame him for that wild pitch, it was on Hammel. His framing can't possibly make up for all the other holes in his game.
  2. This is the Braves, this is what your suppose to do against the worst team in baseball. Should have been this way all 3 games.
  3. Looks like Hatch deleted the tweet. Meant to get a screenshot.
  4. I never felt that way, he's maybe a little monotone. Those guys both have great baseball minds. They recently came out with a book about their season running an idependant league team called the Stompers that I'd love to check out soon.
  5. Cubs related podcast: Ivy Envy, BP Wrigleycast, Limited Range, Cubs Related, and the Wrigleyville Nation podcast are all pretty good. General baseball podcast: Effectively Wild is probably my favorite baseball podcast. Baseball tonight's scoreboard is nice because it recaps with all the highlights from radio broadcast and the normal baseball tonight show is usually pretty good as well and they are on the same feed. The fangraphs show with Carson is good when he has Dave Cameron on but outside of that its just Carson shooting the horsefeathers with random people, which I find entertaining but is certainly not baseball related or everyone's cup of tea. I used to really enjoy Bernie Pleskof's Short Hops podcast which was a fantasy podcast but they stopped doing it or moved to a different feed.
  6. You're not new, and you have a history. A no-hitter is completely different than a shutout, and only everyone that's ever watched baseball should know that. I've seen new posters get slaughtered on here for making points you guys felt were silly. That's not conducive towards increasing forum activity. New or not you couldn't be more right. This is not a forum open to new users, they run most of them off very quickly and when it's pointed out they very quickly show you why/how they have run them off. If your ideas don't completely lineup with the status quo here your very likely to be repeatedly treated "poorly" and openly mocked. I hang around because there are a few posters who's opinions I value and I get a lot of joy out of ruffling the feathers of the rest of the guys here because it's highly entertaining to watch the responses, predictable as they are.
  7. Would have loved to have seen Willson in that situation instead of shitty Montero, the bottom of this lineup is abysmal right now.
  8. Ah, taking the Vinestal approach. I like it. Looks like the offense sucks again today Yup
  9. It's funny how a few weeks ago you were worried only about our last ten, but now that we are 9-1 in the last 10 you are here worrying about something else. Just go to http://www.gatewayredbirds.com, you'll find more people that agree with you there. Here, we are pretty thrilled with 38-15. .
  10. 38-15 I'm aware of the record, it's lovely but doesn't have much to do with what's going on right now in this game. I'm just hoping the bats wake up soon cause this is frustrating to watch. We went most of yesterday looking feeble as well though, so who knows.
  11. It's funny how over confident people get about winning forever when this offense has proven it can be completely shut down on any given day by any given pitcher.
  12. Lol offense went straight to horsefeathers after the Dexter HR
  13. Why do you hate America? *sigh*
  14. Well that sucked. Uh... We'll get em next inning
  15. Jake not looking like his usual dominate self today
