  1. Sorry to disappoint you, but it won't be getting much harder. After we yawn our way through 2 more with the Reds, it's an off day, then a pair of Fecal League Juggernaughts in the Brewers and Braves. Times is hard easy. Bring on the poo then I guess! Lol Better competition might be the Dodgers, Nationals, Mets, Pirates... One of those. I don't mind creaming the bad teams though, that's what good teams are suppose to do.
  2. who are the good teams? the nats? fyi cubs have had the "hardest" strength of schedule in baseball so far I thought we've had one of the easiest schedules so far. The Angels suck, as do the Reds. Colorado is playing well now but they'll likely finish near the bottom of that division. Before the season started everyone was talking about how cream puff the first month of the season was going to be.
  3. Ugh! There's nothing beautiful about Castro, and you can be sure the front office preferred Zobrist to Castro as well. Say what you want about Zobrist, at least he's capable of fielding a routine grounder without being distracted by the sky. your jerkiness makes me hate agreeing with you so much Sorry just trying to fit in.

  5. I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do against some good teams, there's no challenge coming from the Reds for sure. Not that I don't enjoy bludgeoning the crap out of bad teams.
  6. Candelario finally had a pretty good night at the plate 1/3 with a HR and a couple of walks.
  7. yup and basically just did it with fastballs
  8. We are totally fucked now, needed to get through this inning without giving up anymore runs. Sucks that Strop wasn't availible. Didnt they use him for 1 batter the other day?
  9. That Pedro Strop post was gold. I laughed so hard I cried. He said something about Soler bringing his own avocado thinking it was rice. Just hearing Baez and Strop laugh was enough to make my day.
  10. Looks like Candelario starting at 1st base tonight smokies Lineup Hannemann DH Young 2B Candelario 1B McKinney RF Agunis LF Caratini C Rademacher CF Dent SS Giansanti 3B Tseng P
  11. I saw Candelario was out of the lineup, was there an injury reason for this or just a day off?
  12. I like how his hand leaves a trail of fire as he high fives Rat Boy
  13. There were also good innings by Ramirez and Grimm even if they were against minor leaguers. Murton's "catch" was actually trapped but I think the umps (and everyone else) were just ready to go home.
  14. This one televised on mlbtv at all?
  15. Hasn't minor league pitch framing info been pretty suspect? Seems like you should kind of take it with a grain of salt. They don't have the equipment that the major league parks have right?
  16. I got a notification from mlb that Dexter had signed a 1 yr deal with the Cubs and I was like WTF is happening!! I don't know how everyone is going to fit but I love it
  17. Schwarber Bryant Rizzo Baez Heyward Soler Zobrist Russell Montero
  18. You don't have to do a thing. There is no "obligation". Nothing is being asked of you. I'm simply stating my case for why I'm keeping an open mind. You seem to know what he is and isn't. That's cool. I'm just running with what he's been for ~1400 minor league PAs, including ~600 AA PAs. This isn't a bad player or prospect, I have made thar clear, so I don't get what it is that bothers you so much. Lumping all of his plate appearances together and not putting any of it in perspective or considering a very young player's learning curve is a pretty short sighted thing to do. The next couple of years will tell what Almora is or isn't. He's not a finished product. He still has time to put up some substantially better numbers.
  19. The packs and stubs are almost entirely for a mode called Diamond Dynasty, which involves collecting baseball cards and building a team from those players to compete with other players online. If your focus is primarily going to be on regular season or franchise modes, the extras aren't a big deal Awesome that's all I needed to know, thanks Derwood
  20. So I really had no idea where to post this so o figured it fell under general baseball best. I bought a ps4 for Christmas and I've been out of the console gaming scene for quite a while. I was thinking I might get the newest version of MLB the show when it comes out. I noticed there are like 3 versions of the game. Special additions that come with packs and stubs and I honestly have no idea what those are because I haven't played MLB the show since the early 2000s probably. Can anyone explain this stuff to a poor confused old guy? Is it worth buying one of the premium versions? I can't seem to find anything that explains the pack/stubs stuff. I'm sure it was added to the game years ago but like I said I've been out of the console scene for quite a long time.
  21. Can someone fill us in about Warren? don't know much about him
  22. Nah Id be pretty happy to. I don't like Castro and I'd certainly prefer to have Zobrist on the roster than Castro. I just see Castro as a defensive liability and a bit of a mental flake. He's had a pretty inconsistent career. You're going to hate Zobrist's 2B defense if you think Castro is a liability there. Does he stare blankly into the stands as balls zip by his glove? oh for crying out load first he's "mentally weak" and now this Really? God people... Castro's defense the first half of the year was one of the most frustrating things Iv'e ever seen on a baseball field the guy is terrible.
