    How the eff can you get a job managing at the ML level when you are so stupid and stubborn? EVERYONE knows Bob Howry sucks and can't be trusted with the lead. Yet you leave him in to pitch to Carlos effin Lee. Lou has NO idea how to manage a bullpen. None. At all. He pitches his best relievers in blowouts and continues to throw garbage (i.e. Howry) out there to blow leads.

    No kidding. I feel completely at ease with Harden on the mound.

    Nobody tried to draw overall conclusions from it that I saw. His last 28 days are .237/.326/368. He's OPSing .694 in that time period. He has been bad RECENTLY. Not to mention, he looks completely clueless out there on some of his at bats. Swinging at ball way out of the zone and doing a little pirouette. For the contact he signed, he's been awful. He's an average outfielder, but he's making 12 mil/year. Yes, I know that's Hendry's fault, not Kosukue's but the reality is that the contract somewhat dictates expectations.

    I know that I had more faith in Jacque than I do Fukudome. He made a splash, but has been unimpressive at the plate since May.

    Cubs, it's Brian effin' Mohler. Stop making him look like Rich Harden! This is the 3rd time we've been shutout since the ASB. Frustrating.

    A streaky offense is not a recipe for success in October. We really need to start getting some consistency.

    Anyone else get angry when they hear someone refer to Marquis as a "good hitting pitcher"? He's hitting .158 this year and hit .139 last year. He's just as bad as Lilly and Dempster (but at least they can pitch).

    It's becoming quite a frustrating trend. I just want them to go in their slumps at seperate times for once. I just wish there slumps weren't so dramatic. Can we get a 3-20 as opposed to 0-28?

    I can't remember having more confidence in a pitcher's ability than I do Harden. Granted, he can usually only go 6-7 innings, but I'm extremely confident that he'll allow only 1 or 2 runs tops in those innings. The guy is nearly unhittable.

    Do you pull Harden after next inning (assuming a 5 run lead) and bring in Marshall? Or do you let him go 7? With this lead, I have faith in Marshall, I'd pull Harden after 6.

    You had plenty of company. JUst about everyone was wrong except Comrade Sully. I also got very frustrated when someone would say "But, it's a low risk signing...they are only paying him a pro-rated portion of the minimum salary, there's nothing to lose..."
