  1. What did Kemp do?
  2. Kemp singles. 1 out.
  3. I think this is most likely. In all seriousness, as previously stated, Marshall has something to prove and I think he will. If his bender is under control like I think it will. I'll say 7 innings with 1-3 runs. Marmol and Wood to follow. Cubs win 8-3. Wood isn't going to pitch tonight. He's pitched 3 consecutive days and last night he threw 30 pitches.
  4. Derrek Lee needs to stop sucking.
  5. Parra/Billingsly Bush/Lowe Suppan/Kershaw Nice. Those are pretty favorable matchups for the Dodgers.
  6. What are the pitching matchups for the Brewers/Dodgers series?
  7. I hate playing in Miami. Even though the Marlins are contending, we'll still be playing in a ballpark that is 80% empty.
  8. Harden has pitched on extended rest the last two times out and he hasn't fared as well (though that still meant one fairly rough game and one good, but not excellent, game). I'd just pitch him on the regular 4 day rest and see how he does.
  9. Yep. Sure, it's a crapshoot, but the better the team, the more likely they get hot.
  10. Francoeur is a total dbag. His extremely selective memory has already been discussed, but what really gets me is that Escobar was hit on the damn arm. Just take your base. I understand getting upset when someone throws at your head, there's never a reason for that, but not when you get hit in the arm. Then, the Braves came charging out of the dugout (with Francoeur likely leading the way) just looking for something. What do they have to lose?
  11. that was a BIG run...I feel much better with the lead at 3-1.
  12. ugh...you just knew that was coming. This one is likely over. The Padres just can't score any runs.
  13. Holy crap. Re: the Nats. Nick Johnson leads the Nationals with 33 walks. Johnson has been on the disabled list since May 13? It's rare that I say this, it is baseball...but, it's an absolute failure if we don't sweep the Nats when they come to Wrigley.
  14. Bot 5, still 0-0 in San Diego. The Brewers really are playing some pathetic teams.
  15. Someone needs to post the Lou street sweeper pic.
  16. Nice to see the Brewers facing an actual pitcher. At least the Fathers have a fighting chance in this one. Sheets has been pretty unimpressive lately outside of this start against the hapless Nats.
  17. 1) Lou's use of the bullpen. 2) Derrek Lee. He's just not a #3 hitter anymore. But, who else do you put in that spot? 3) Kosuke. This has been widely discussed. He needs to start getting on base again. . . . . . . 4) Another bat off the bench. Fontenot is ok, but I don't feel very confidend with Cedeno and especially Ward. Other than that, this club is ready.
  18. I really wish we had Hoffpaiur up. I'd like to see him get a few starts at 1b. It'll give Lee a nice rest and we can see what Hoff can do. Ward has been useless for the entire year.
  19. It's so simple, but it's a concept that Lou fails to grasp. He's proven it over and over and over. If we weren't playing a DH, it would not shock me to see Marmol coming in for the 9th.
