  1. No matter how good the rest of the division is, it would be cool if this is the year the Bears figure out how to beat the Packers. What have they won, the last 10 meetings in a row or something?
  2. It’s a shame the year the Bears are probably a fringe playoff contender given their talent and overall quality of play that they’re in the best division we’ve seen in football for some time. still, I will not be unhappy if they end up 9-8ish and out of the playoffs if they continue this level of play and Caleb plays at this level.
  3. Im so fascinated to know what Steelers fans think of Justin Fields’s play. Right now the Steelers have the game totally in hand but he’s 13 of 22 for 114 yards. Which just isn’t NFL acceptable, generally. Yet they keep winning, so 🤷‍♂️
  4. I really have no idea how to gauge playoff odds for the Bears this year. I still think one of DET-MIN-GB is in for some regression, though I’m not exactly sure who. But 4-2 and Caleb playing the way he is right now is not exactly the top of my expectations for the first six weeks, it is probably in the 90th percentile. Defense better than expected, offense a smidge worse. Agreeing with Kyle re: the run blocking this week. They were getting significant push and Swift was able to gash them for chunks. If that keeps up this offense gets scary for people.
  5. I’m almost surprised Williams only had 220 some yards passing because he seemed all over the field but I did just remember that he had 50+ rushing on top of that.
  6. Best I’ve felt as a Bears fan since 2018 best I’ve felt about the Bears offense in my entire goddamn life
  7. Marginally annoyed the Jags scored there. Hurts our Points Against stat
  8. Wow the Jaguars are a truly terrible team. They do all the little things to lose: drops, fumbles, inopportune penalties. Used to be the Bears, not anymore.
  9. The play where Caleb looked 100% like he was going to throw it away and dumped it off to Kmet for 25 yards was perhaps the most impressive play of the game by him. in a game full of exceedingly impressive things.
  10. Um, the last two TD passes are two of the best passes I’ve ever seen any Bears QB throw. wow.
  11. The biggest sign the Bears have arrived: the refs are throwing the most horsefeathers flags ever for our benefit.
  12. Ok the refs are…finding some interesting calls to benefit the Bears. I would be irate if I was a Jags fan but luckily I am not.
  13. Woulda been nice to shut them down there, but you’re not gonna keep them completely off the board. Go answer, offense.
  14. Wow. Keenan Allen lives! This team is doing things I’ve never seen before. 2 minute drills for TDs. Touchdowns on long 3rd and Goals. Incredible
  15. Dude, Caleb is playing like a monster right now. The one mistake he made was bad but was also thankfully a play made deep in Jag territory. Wow.
  16. Yo the Peanut Punch continues to live on
  17. That is a BIG TIME DRIVE. Would have been happy to settle for a field goal but they pushed it and man, Caleb is special
  18. That’s an egregiously bad overturn. At worst it should stand for lack of evidence, there’s absolutely nothing incontrovertible there
  19. Offense redeemed, faith in humanity restored
  20. Why does the offense have to start off looking like garbage EVERY GAME
  21. Tyrique Stevenson got an ankle injury in practice and is now doubtful for the game. That may explain the lowering of the line in Vegas. Would hate to see Lawrence feast on our weakened secondary.
  22. It would be cool if Poles cut Velus Jones, the guy who has almost as many fumbles as touches in his career
  23. I'd feel a lot more comfortable about this game if it wasn't in London and right before a Bye. I feel like there's just gonna be a lot of stupid variance introduced by being across the ocean and I do think there's something psychological about looking forward to the week off. I'm thankful the Bears didn't allow the Panthers to hang around and just dumpstered them immediately after they had that breakdown defensively. Here's hoping they do the same thing this week, and it'll be a good test for the Bears D to deal with a good rushing attack and a (sometimes) talented QB.
