  1. I have that same feeling about the Bears-Seahawks matchup  BEARSBEARSBEARSBEARSBEARSBEARS p.s. does your signature have to be so obscenely huge?
  2. That's what I told your mom last nite, Trebek! Anal Bum cover for 500 please. But seriously now, I can't really care about that even though our next opponent is coming out of it.
  3. No, but this is: http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2007/01/rachel-nichols-ill-let-you-inside-my.html Its a new article about Sexy Rexy and his throwgasm. Everyone has to thank me immediately.
  4. Ugh, it looks like Indy has a good shot of overcoming Baltimore and then going onto the AFC championship. Lame. Baltimore hasn't really been that impressive all year, I really hope they show up for this one. New England vs. San Diego is just a great match up, one for the ages. Its a shame its a divisional playoff game. Philadelphia New Orleans? Who cares. BORING.
  5. I don't know if I should watch this at home, or drive early and watch it from my dorm room. My only friend that I have left here in Chicago is a Seahawks fan. :?
  6. No doubt that the Seahawks have been hurt by injuries far more than us. They are basically on reserve with their WR and DB corps. Hasselbeck may be fighting and injury and so may Alexander. I'll watch Alexander closely though, he may be explode with something huge. Or...he might just be really injured and bad.
  7. Mark Schlereth is the biggest [expletive] moron to ever hold a job in ESPN. I honestly think some Bear defensive tackle rolled up his leg one year, because there is absolutely NO reason why he hates on the Bears so much. I really think ESPN hates on the Bears so much because they are so angry at Rex Grossman for not becoming the anointed saviour they all predicted he was after the first 5 games this year. I mean...we still aren't a dissapointment and yet they are angry at us. It really is absurd. 13-3 and they rip on us all the time. Top 3 in both points scored and points allowed.
  8. We'll agree to disagree. Albert Belle has just as good a case as Ron Santo does.
  9. Oh come on guys, Hinrich is really the leader of this team. Bulls on a 1-3 skid, not good. Rough stretch of opponents coming up.
  10. Eh? Basically a wash. Chris harris always seemed to me like he had the talent to play, but not quite the mind to play as a good safety. Todd Johnson is...eh as well. I keep hearing that Danieal Manning is consistently out of position. I'm not qualified to say yes or no on the subject, plus its hard to see downfield with the cameras always pointing at the quarterback as he drops back, so if anyone wants to weigh on this, please do.
  11. Come on Sauce. I'm a Bucks fan too. :(
  12. There isn't a surefire way to solve the college football championship issue. My point is I don't really care if you're 5th and feel screwed. If it went to an 8 team playoff, #9 would feel screwed, and I'd care even less. They choose to be in the conference they are in, and they schedule their own out of conference games. If you are willing to remain in a weak conference, then it's your own responsibility to get tough OOC games to make up for that weakness. It's not like this system was just sprung on them. This has been the case for years. And prior to the BCS, they wouldn't have even played in such a big bowl game as they did. I think an 8 team playoff would have less chance to leave someone out that should be there though. Mid-major undefeateds are usually in the top 8 at least. Meanwhile Boise State went undefeated, won a BCS bowl game, and are still ranked 5th and would have missed any "playoff" scenario. Any team left out of an 8 team playoff almost assuredly has a loss. It's not like Boise State can just go hop on over to a major conference or something. They're in the WAC because they've had to build their way to national significance. And they had to start winning some big games so they could start scheduling better opponents. Not everyone can be in a major conference. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't have an opportunity at the Championship. Bottom line: Theres less of a commotion when a number 9 gets left out of the playoffs. They, obviously, have less of a chance of going all the way. I think people have given Boise State a little bit of recognition. The thing is, you HAVE TO SCHEDULE PEOPLE OUT OF CONFERENCE to get respect. Thats how it works, and thats how it SHOULD be. Boise State played NO ONE RANKED before they got to the Fiesta Bowl. Obviously its hard to say they are a top 8 team or something.
  13. Yes, in the season, including over teams in these playoffs. The 4 games that went "as expected" are not much of a meaningful trend. Every playoff season includes upsets. I guess, but things usually work themselves off and the one of the top 2 seeds usually gets in. (2005 being the exception) I remember in 2004 all these crazy upsets happened in the first couple rounds, and then the number 1 seed in the NFC and te number 2 seed in the AFC went to the championship. The bye teams always end up there.
  14. No problem. It's not like they'd have an advantage if they watched the NFC games live on TV, they don't strategize based off the video from the TV feeds. I think this is obvious to most knowledgable people, including the mediots. I think the problem, as seen by those who complain about it (not me), is that Lovie should have been preparing by watching game tape of his potential opponents and maybe preparing Rex, although that is what Wade Wilson is for. (this is directed to those people_) Are you freaking serious? Is Lovie Smith supposed to toil for 2 weeks straight to assemble tape for Rex Grossman? Do you even know what Head Coaches do? He gave the team the weekend off. Christ almighty.
  15. I think a playoff game would mean a lot to the confidence of this team and its fans. I'd love to see this team in the Super Bowl, and I probably wouldn't be nervous at all becau I'd just be happy to be there. EDIT: Yea, there is another bye week before the Super Bowl. Its fairly new I think. There is a certain amount of "the first one" anxiety with this team. They haven't won a playoff game in forever. But everybody should be at least a little nervous before a playoff game, divisional round or not. Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL playoffs. You don't have a 7 game series to make up for a bad loss. It's one and done, and anybody can win. Underdogs have won a ton of games this year. As for the pre Super Bowl bye week, I think it's been around for a long time. It's just recently that they reinstated it on a permanent basis. There was a bye week for a lot of super bowls prior to 2001, including the Bears/Pats Super Bowl XX. Do you mean over the season? Every favored team in the playoffs have won their games so far.
  16. What? I understand that people want their conference to look better so that their team looks better but I just don't understand why some people are so rabid about it. YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN IT DONT ASK ME HOW AL;DJF;ALSKJDFL;KASDJFL;KSAJDF;LAKSDJF ediT: WOOOO AMERIKA
  17. I think a playoff game would mean a lot to the confidence of this team and its fans. I'd like to share with you guys an image from out last match up. I'd like to say I made it, but it shows...a less than stellar play by our Charles Tillman. Don't get me wrong, he's had a great season, but at the time it was priceless: http://photos.pe.facebook.com/v62/69/118/1949429/n1949429_34800795_9735.jpg EDIT: Yea, there is another bye week before the Super Bowl. Its fairly new I think.[/img]
  18. Because of the [expletive] poll system, the strength of your conference becomes immensely important in getting a team to better bowl games. Look at Boise State, you don't think they want their conference to look strong? They were freaking undefeated and they got shut out of the national title game. Actually a better example would be Auburn in 2004. Either way, people stil have conference pride. I mean, thats like asking people WHY DO YOU ROOT FOR AMERICA IN WARS? Hard to explain why, you just do.
  19. for me to poop on :( I'm hear for you Sauce.
  20. Not Happening  Gah. Ready to ham up and eat the crow I justifiedly deserve. Send it over.
  21. How did the Chiefs not deserve it? They were 9-7 while Tennessee, Denver, Cincy, Pittsburgh, etc. were 8-8. It's not like they got voted into the playoffs... The Chiefs were dominated? The Defense gave their team every opportunity to win, practically on a silver platter, and stubborn playcalling and poor performance by the passing game completely wiped out their chance. They looked fairly competitive to me.
  22. Yeah, this man is terrible and has no backbone. It might take a generation before we get a playoff, gotta wait till all these dinosaurs die off.
  23. I don't see how the Seahawks have a chance at pressuring Rex. Their front 4 hasn't been good all season. If they blitz, they're going to leave an already bad secondary exposed 1 on 1. The only thing that could help their defense is the weather. If the wind is as bad as forcast, it will hamper the passing games of both teams, and even then I like the Bears run offense vs Seattle. Seattle just doesn't match up well anywhere. They don't have that small, shifty slot reciever that gives the Bears trouble. Alexander doesn't have much of a burst right now. Hasselback gets rattled if you hit him a couple times. Jerramy Stevens is inconsistent, and won't have the Roy "I can't cover anyone" Williams defending the middle of the field. Barring an absolute disaster game from Rex, I don't see how we lose. And I don't think this is a team that can force a disaster game out of him. I haven't read anything that uplifting in a while. If we lose I'm holding you accountable US
  24. I don't know why that Seahawk fan would rather play the Bears than the Saints. Honestly I think we are more balanced than the Saints, and I think their bubble is about to burst.
  25. You guys are pretty silly. Honestly? Uhhh OSU 38 Fla 17 I just don't see Fla with much consistent offense, ever.
