I'm going to throw out the radical option here of: lets abolish errors I mean, after Arrieta's no hitter of course, but I am proponent of just eliminating them as a category all together

Yeah, thinking about this I just get existential terror about the idea of giving hundreds of millions to multiple pitchers over 30. That's not to say that doesn't make it the best baseball move if thats what they end up doing (it likely is), its just it's a crummy consequence of having poor luck with pitching prospects

what? lieber was legitimately really [expletive] good Yeah not sure what I was remembering there, ah well He was excellent in his first stint with the Cubs. When he came back in '07 (?), I think he was pretty much done. Yeah i was drawing a parallel with Haren and the 2008 Lieber, not his first stay But even then he wasn't bad, by the numbers
