  1. Remember when Rex got drunk on New Year’s Eve and was terrible in a meaningless game against the Packers in 06? I wish we had more memories like that than…the other ones
  2. I think Jahmyr Gibbs behind this line and with this scheme would have like 1,600 yards right now
  3. I miss Dan McNeil (DAH MAHNEIIILLLL) and him and Spiegel was a perfect pairing. I find the 670 lineup these days very bland. But I've mostly enjoyed Bernstein + Matt Abbattacola. Maybe I just long for the old glory days of B&B.
  4. Huh. Ok.
  5. I was 5 years old when the Packers acquired Brett Favre so all I've known is complete and total Packers domination, with only a handful of breaks. I'm not sure I've even seen the Bears sweep the season series before. Fake Edit: Huh, they swept the series in 2007? That year was so disappointing and forgettable I didn't even remember that. But I do remember 2005, Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman teaming up to sweep em. I just looked those box scores up and Kyle Orton was 6 of 17 in one of those wins, lmao. What an era.
  6. 100%. I wish Montez was a guy who elevated the guys around him, but he's simply a Very Very Good D-End, but not an elite guy. He's good for a sack a game, a game-changing play every few games, but he isn't a monster that can totally take over a game like Garrett or Crosby can do on occasion. They gotta get another difference maker on the D-Line, and I'm right there with you: Depending on the cost, I'm not opposed to making a big move for a guy like Maxx Crosby next year. That can elevate this team to championship potential, assuming even modest improvement from Caleb and the offense. I wish there were more D-Tackles out there that can really impact the pass rush, but there's a reason why guys like Aaron Donald aren't routinely available. Real unicorn type dudes. Not a lot of them around the league.
  7. I don’t think the Lions are an elite team that can compete for a Super Bowl this year. Not with the injuries they've sustained and the… weird coaching decisions they are seemingly committed to. Fully look forward to being quote tweeted in a couple months with how wrong I am, but I don’t see it for them.
  8. I’m not hedging about the goodness of the Bears anymore. They’re one of the best of the NFC, and even if they lose (against another one of the top NFC teams) it won’t change my feelings about them. Jordan love is, unfortunately, pretty good. And Green Bay, annoyingly, is pretty good. Of course our road to the playoffs has to go through them in what almost looks like a baseball style series. But we only really need a split with them. It’s too bad this first one is in Lambeau. I’m still waiting for Green Bay to experience 30 years of football incompetence and lacking a QB. It’s only fair.
  9. They’re 9-3 and just utterly dominated the defending Super Bowl champs on the road. They’re a good team!
  10. I’m not sure where the holes are on offense at all. Left Tackle is the only spot you could really argue is struggling, and I don’t think they’re going to go after anybody over their 2nd round pick. Will probably get someone over Swift (draft most likely?) because I don’t think Monangai is a feature back. On defense, you have holes, but they’re mostly concentrated on the D-line. you have a very good defensive backfield, health permitting, good linebackers (which we’ll need to make moves on in ‘26), health permitting, and 1 good D-linemen. No, I think raw is absolutely right. This is comparable to the 2022/2023 Lions or the 2015 Cubs. We definitely can/should put the chips in for the next couple years. Can’t believe Odeyingbo was so expensive, what a bust of a move there lol.
  11. Remember we only have to split the Packers games in order to stay in first (assuming we’re at parity in the other games) If we can’t split the Packers series at worst, then we don’t deserve to win the division anyway. It’s time to end the Packers dominance of this rivalry. Let’s go.
  12. 1st in the NFC Chicago Bears. Packers week just got crazier
  13. Too bad the Browns have just rolled over and showed their belly. I swear to god if they show any sign of life next week I will be ungodly pissed
  14. Oh my god Panthers might be doing us a solid here this is so wild
  15. Is Brock Purdy just… bad? Seems highly unfortunate for the Niners after giving him a huge contract in ‘23. They’re also kind of a mess and hopefully we can handle them.
  16. So weird to have a Sunday where neither the Bears nor anyone in the division is playing. Niners vs Browns is helpful for us to scout out some opponents that are coming up. Hope Shadeur doesn’t really put it together before we play them in two weeks. It would be VERY nice if that offense was dogshit when we face them
  17. I’ve been a bit of a “Poles Defender” but I think we can all agree this past offseason was historic. Whatever his misses going into the 2024-2025 offseason, he seemingly hit on basically every move he made: got the right coach, immediately fixed the offensive line, and hit on damn near every draft pick (at least, every pick except Shemar Turner is a contributor in their rookie season, which never happens) the only misses are his FA pass rushers who horsefeathers sucked and died again. it is the kind of offseason that can keep a guy his job for another 5 years.
  18. My heart isn’t prepared for Packers week yet
  19. The biggest casualty of the CFP aren’t regular season games, it’s conference championship games, which now are often pointless. If you can lose the conf championship and still make the playoffs and win the NC, what’s the point? Never loved conference championship games anyway. Ohio State v Michigan will always matter because it’s horsefeathers Ohio State v Michigan. Same with most other rivalry games. there are downsides to having a playoff system but the upsides are: you get a lot more meaningful fun football and you don’t have to live through excruciating debates about who the best 1, 2 or 4 teams are - you see it on the field. Which is the best and most fair system.
  20. What’s crazy is that final game against the Lions might mean nothing but seeding for the Bears. Could you even imagine that in the preseason?
  21. If you're like me, these videos are like crack
  22. Oh, I'm specifically speaking on the defense here. Offensively... I don't think you can take any credit away from what they did today. You shouldn't be able to do this against any NFL Dline, and they did it against one of the best Dlines in football.
  23. Gameballs should go to the Oline as a whole and Nahshon Wright (come on man this dude has deserved one for 3 weeks now)
  24. it is hard to see how much is us being good and how much is that Philly is a mentally weak team that has fallen apart down the stretch 2 out of 3 years (with a super bowl win squeezed in the middle lmao)
  25. most complete win of the year, against the strongest opponent of the year, on the road and caleb had his worst game lmao immense coaching job by Ben and Dennis Allen. incredible stuff here.
