Would playoffs be nice? Sure. But more important is laying down the groundwork for having prolonged success for Johnson-Williams. If they finish the season reasonably competitive against the best teams in the league, avoid having the types of demoralizing collapses by recent Bears teams, and Williams looks better and better by the end of the season, I'll be happy.
I mean, I'll likely be screaming my head off at the TV, but the rational part of me would be happy.
Take out the trash against the trash teams left on the schedule, and put up a fight against the good ones. Anything from 8-9 to 10-7 is reasonable and would be a win, IMO.
