  1. Zaccheus needs to be benched, he can’t be allowed to just keep dropping balls
  2. This feels a lot like that Ravens game. Don’t like the vibe of this game. doesn’t help our horrific special teams gives up 45 yards again
  3. There’s been like 5 egregious drops today
  4. Frankly shocked the WR had the presence of mind to peanut punch the ball out of Wright’s hands. weird half. Bears offense hasn’t looked super in rhythm yet, but Caleb is on the money, so hopefully things lock in at half. What sucks is that the defense really isn’t looking like they’re going to stop anything.
  5. Very strange game so far, feel like Ben Johnson is calling a strange game play calling wise. Maybe hobbled by conditions and kicker health.
  6. I don’t understand why everyone on our team is dropping the ball but the giants get to have a miraculous one handed catch
  7. Turner did have one big walk off hit so I can't be entirely upset with the move, but man, the Cubs do have a tendency to set our expectations low
  8. Colston Loveland is a perfect NVP because he does look like a giant kid
  9. How had Dayo looked against the run this year? That’s the only thing I can really think of in getting a warm body to replace him. They were really getting run on to start the year but got stout the last few weeks.
  10. Would playoffs be nice? Sure. But more important is laying down the groundwork for having prolonged success for Johnson-Williams. If they finish the season reasonably competitive against the best teams in the league, avoid having the types of demoralizing collapses by recent Bears teams, and Williams looks better and better by the end of the season, I'll be happy. I mean, I'll likely be screaming my head off at the TV, but the rational part of me would be happy. Take out the trash against the trash teams left on the schedule, and put up a fight against the good ones. Anything from 8-9 to 10-7 is reasonable and would be a win, IMO.
  11. Bears trade for Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, sending a 6th and getting a 7th in return as well. Former 1st round pick, seems like he hasn't done much. There's the warm body move we expected. https://www.si.com/nfl/bears-browns-joe-tryon-shoyinka-trade-trade
  12. They need to get a couple of warm bodies on the roster, whether that comes from a small time deal or from signing people off practice squads, we shall see I highly doubt we see them deal two firsts for Maxx Crosby or whatever, but also with Poles you never know. He does seem to love big splash deals near the deadline.
  13. A mere 3.5 point favorite against an unimpressive Giants team shows that the oddsmakers aren't over the moon about the Bears. This is another game that the Bears aren't allowed to lose, not at home, not when they need to stack wins. We shall see if they oblige.
  14. I don't keep a close eye on things but I don't see if I understand the logic here - are they just pretty down on what Shota might bring to the table over the next 3 years due to his peripherals? Is it related to the lockout? I would think the Cubs are starved for quality pitching going into the short and medium term so I would think keeping a guy who's been pretty strong at roughly 20 mil a year for 3 years would make sense.
  15. He's just raging into the void but its funny to do this when Rome has the most targets of any receiver on the Bears. He'll be fine by the end of the season I'm sure. As ever, social media is a mistake
  16. well dont just say that, link buddy
  17. I can't remember a single play Odeyingbo has made all year. Sucks that they keep sustaining injuries on the defense but of all the starters, this is one that will probably affect the team the least.
  18. I'm slightly concerned that having a 65-70% completion percentage is the bare minimum for being a star QB in the NFL today. I don't like that fact, both because I'm unsure if Caleb is capable of it and also I really don't like football where pass completions are that easy (give the defense a chance man) but it may be reality.
  19. Bears O-line has become truly monstrous in the running game and Ben Johnson really knows how to mix it up. As soon as Caleb has the confidence to repeatedly hit the top of his drop and deliver the ball, the offense is truly legit. At the moment his main play is "hit the top of the drop, hesitate, run around for a bit, and either run for 10 yards or deliver a 50-50 ball somewhere" which you know, works ok some of the time. It would be less maddening if he could just throw the goddamn ball. Then of course when it matters he hits a perfect 5 step drop, delivers a pitch perfect ball on a 25 yard post.
  20. I suspect Santos still isn’t at full strength because we all know he doesn’t have a big leg but the misses he had yesterday were…weird. The blocked kick didn’t have the elevation you would typically see. I’d probably bring Moody up, as inconsistent as he’s been, I have very little trust in Santos from anything beyond 45 at this point.
  21. Ben Johnson is absolutely the anti-Eberflus and for that alone I am grateful. over the next week we’ll have a ton more to think about, things that can and need to be fixed (I don’t think the defense CAN be fixed really), but damn, it feels good to win another game that we absolutely would have lost last year.
  22. What a hell of a game by Monangai too
  23. I’m gonna be a bit told-you-so and ****** specifically about everyone being so impatient with Loveland: I always said be patient with him. Glad he’s paying dividends. zen-like patience. This is what we all need. (except with the defense and special teams lmao)
  24. Ahaha this is the craziest Bears game in like 25 years
  25. Caleb just REFUSES to throw the ball at the top of his drop, it’s maddening
