  1. OZ - Olamide Zaccheus, who I have to imagine was getting the number of reps he was because he’s a vet, likely could get the scheme down, and is a willing blocker Unfortunately, the man’s hands are driving me nuts and I want him banished to the quantum zone
  2. I think it’ll be very hard to not win at least 9 games. The Browns game at home is as close to an auto-win as an NFL game goes, they’re just dreadful and have no offense, which is a problem against us. then you need to win just 2 games against the remaining 7. No matter how tough these teams are (and recent weeks have shown every NFL team this season is mortal). Coaching and morale on this team is too high to suffer a 2024 doom spiral collapse.
  3. I don’t think Caleb was particularly inaccurate today. Forget the drops, which were numerous, there were a number of incompletions that may look like he was off where he really wasn’t (but the passing game was out of sync) for example: in the 3rd quarter (I think) there was a play where there was a free blitzer and on first look it appeared that Caleb waited way too long to hit his hot read and there was an ugly incompletion to Monangai. But then you watch the replay and you see Monangai didn’t get clean off a chip block and took way too long to get in on his pattern, which made the delay from Caleb AND his throw all make sense.
  4. I gotta say, I usually like Greg Olsen but I objected to a lot of what he said today. He was harshly critical of Caleb at times when it didn’t make any sense, failed to notice the double standard the refs took on roughing the passer when it came to Caleb being hit in the head, and I think he was frankly wrong on the Giants decision in the 4th. 95% of the time I think Greg Olsen is right on the “kicking field goals is a losing play” in comparison to going for it when you’re on the goal line, but in this circumstance, up by 7 and with your back up QB in, to kick a field goal and go up 2 scores I think is the right move. I maaaaay change my mind after the penalty to bring it within the 1, but I’m still not sure.
  5. By the way, I’ve seen enough of Olamide Zaccheus. Please transfer all plays directed towards Zaccheus to Luther Burden, please and thank you.
  6. The stats don’t really tell the whole story. Dart had a pretty strong game, and it’s very possible we don’t win if he doesn’t get injured, but Caleb was on all game long and suffered some real backbreaking drops. Plus he was so money at the end I don’t even really care that much. play calling and game flow was off until the 4th though. One of the rare mediocre games for Johnson.
  7. Well, I’ve seen enough to say Caleb is That Dude in the 4th quarter.
  8. These drops are killing my soul man
  9. I’m gonna need our offense to punish the Giants for their cowardice
  10. Zaccheus needs to be benched, he can’t be allowed to just keep dropping balls
  11. This feels a lot like that Ravens game. Don’t like the vibe of this game. doesn’t help our horrific special teams gives up 45 yards again
  12. There’s been like 5 egregious drops today
  13. Frankly shocked the WR had the presence of mind to peanut punch the ball out of Wright’s hands. weird half. Bears offense hasn’t looked super in rhythm yet, but Caleb is on the money, so hopefully things lock in at half. What sucks is that the defense really isn’t looking like they’re going to stop anything.
  14. Very strange game so far, feel like Ben Johnson is calling a strange game play calling wise. Maybe hobbled by conditions and kicker health.
  15. I don’t understand why everyone on our team is dropping the ball but the giants get to have a miraculous one handed catch
  16. Turner did have one big walk off hit so I can't be entirely upset with the move, but man, the Cubs do have a tendency to set our expectations low
  17. Colston Loveland is a perfect NVP because he does look like a giant kid
  18. How had Dayo looked against the run this year? That’s the only thing I can really think of in getting a warm body to replace him. They were really getting run on to start the year but got stout the last few weeks.
  19. Would playoffs be nice? Sure. But more important is laying down the groundwork for having prolonged success for Johnson-Williams. If they finish the season reasonably competitive against the best teams in the league, avoid having the types of demoralizing collapses by recent Bears teams, and Williams looks better and better by the end of the season, I'll be happy. I mean, I'll likely be screaming my head off at the TV, but the rational part of me would be happy. Take out the trash against the trash teams left on the schedule, and put up a fight against the good ones. Anything from 8-9 to 10-7 is reasonable and would be a win, IMO.
  20. Bears trade for Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, sending a 6th and getting a 7th in return as well. Former 1st round pick, seems like he hasn't done much. There's the warm body move we expected. https://www.si.com/nfl/bears-browns-joe-tryon-shoyinka-trade-trade
  21. They need to get a couple of warm bodies on the roster, whether that comes from a small time deal or from signing people off practice squads, we shall see I highly doubt we see them deal two firsts for Maxx Crosby or whatever, but also with Poles you never know. He does seem to love big splash deals near the deadline.
  22. A mere 3.5 point favorite against an unimpressive Giants team shows that the oddsmakers aren't over the moon about the Bears. This is another game that the Bears aren't allowed to lose, not at home, not when they need to stack wins. We shall see if they oblige.
  23. I don't keep a close eye on things but I don't see if I understand the logic here - are they just pretty down on what Shota might bring to the table over the next 3 years due to his peripherals? Is it related to the lockout? I would think the Cubs are starved for quality pitching going into the short and medium term so I would think keeping a guy who's been pretty strong at roughly 20 mil a year for 3 years would make sense.
  24. He's just raging into the void but its funny to do this when Rome has the most targets of any receiver on the Bears. He'll be fine by the end of the season I'm sure. As ever, social media is a mistake
  25. well dont just say that, link buddy
