With two off-days, I agree entirely. I'd push him a little farther personally. He'll undoubtedly get pushed pretty hard in the playoffs, I'd like to at least work him into that scenario. I wouldn't have pulled him after 62 pitches. Leave him in until around 90ish would be optimal, imo. He still has at least 2 more starts, probably 3. He can get up to 75-80 next time, 90 after that, and should be able to go 100+ if needed in the playoffs. Unless there is more than meets the eye in this "missed" start, I don't agree. 90 pitches is hardly pushing a pitcher too far IMO. I'd like for him to be accustomed to throwing that many pitches in more than one start before the playoffs.
