  1. wow, I completely forgot about Eyre when wondering who would finish this out.
  2. Len: Braunies Bayou Bob: O...K...there you go
  3. Whoever picked Ramirez to break out tonight, I tip my cap
  4. What an interesting day to be an Angels fan
  5. ugh, he made him work but couldn't get enough lift on that flyball. Pick him up Dero. EDIT: I'll take it 1-0!
  6. Gameday has had him at one more pitch then you have tonight. Not that it really matters yes, but do we really know that gameday can count? are we sure that whoever is entering the information is really there? Good point. But I'm too lazy and Fred's not here. If you promise to keep posting the PC, so that I don't have to be a jerk and keep asking, I'll just shut the troubled program down.
  7. Seriously, take off the enormous oversized glasses. You look like a moron.
  8. Gameday has had him at one more pitch then you have tonight. Not that it really matters
  9. Theriot in his 1,231st close play at first in the past few weeks
  10. Be careful, it's pretty windy out on that limb. the Braves are 7.5 games back with 3 very good teams ahead of them. Hudsons done for the season, Chippers back to the DL, and now Tex is gone. I think its pretty safe to say they're done. I think he was being sarcastic. As in "way to go out on a limb" with that obvious statement.
  11. Sheets should only be good for 6 at this pace
  12. Weird swing by Geo. He looked completely fooled with that fastball down the middle. I guess he was looking for the curve.
  13. Hmmm, I guess I should have looked up those numbers before heading out to work. Well, if the Cubs really do not have anyone better than Howry in their system, then I'm on board with keeping him in a mop-up duty role. In that role he can either bounce back and show that he can actually contribute to the team, or at worst, he only minimally hurts their chance to win.
  14. Compared to how he is pitching now. It's the same as selling low with no replacement in sight. Should his role change, without question yes. But that's just it, the Cubs have replacements waiting in the minors. Wuertz, Ascanio and Ceda would all do a better job for the rest of the year IMO. If nothing else, drop him when Wood gets back. His straight fastball is only hitting about 93 now and his slider been ineffective. The Cubs really can't allow him to blow games left and right every time he enters the game.
  15. MLB tv was almost insufferable between some fuzzy feed and easily the worst announcers I have ever heard. Yep. Worst picture I've had all year.
  16. No, they're amazing. Nobody would have believed last year that they could top "Who's Now?" for stupidity. But somehow they came through. Every time I watched that last year I had the feeling I was watching a family guy episode where they were making fun of something stupid SportsCenter would do.
  17. They also said "Marmol has a nasty slider...as long as his arm doesn't fall off". uh, yeah. Your starter threw 130 tonight.
  18. BIG Win tonight. I was the least optimistic about this game as I was about any of the 4. Come out sharp tomorrow Big Z! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
  19. ND teammates thought his face looked like a shark's. That's unfortunate
