  1. Bobby Cox was the last to do the unthinkable, yes?
  2. YES! D Lee! He was due! (of course that throw to the plate was terrible and Fontenot could have scored. Oh well, guess Quade feels better safe than sorry)
  3. Pretty simple...walking the lefty to get to the righty for the better matchup. Seems pretty sound to me with a guy like Fielder at the plate. And it worked. Good work by Gaudin. I guess given the way Chad looked with the first two batters, I could buy that. It's just a little scary to put the go ahead run on the base paths intentionally that late in the game. However, if he's sticking with chad for more than one, then that makes it an easier decision.
  4. I was reading somewhere (Hardballtimes.com?) that even though Chad was treated as a throw-in, they felt Gaudin was worthy of a teams' top 10 prospect by himself. I agree so far.
  5. I don't understand putting the go ahead run on first. :-k Oh well, c'mon Chad, get Hart!
  6. Yeah, but he doesn't walk anyone. That's the only way for a pitcher to tick Lou off it appears. Another bold prediction: The cubs get 1 more this inning.
  7. Probably Cotts or Eyre in the 8th? I'd love to avoid any more lefties. But, I'm not sure who else is available. Is Gaudin a no-go as well?
  8. Marmol pitches in save situations. Lou mentioned it before the game I believe.
  9. Routine double play ball that Weeks threw in the dugout, the slide had nothing at all to do with the play as Weeks had released the ball before the baserunner got there. Well, Reed was bearing down on him nonetheless. If he peels off halfway down to second then there is no doubt in my mind that Weeks makes that throw.
  10. How many pitches is he up to? Leaves at 129. Ned Yost is awesome. Why should he care? Might as well get everything he can out of him over the next two months. It's not like Sabathia is going to sign a long-term deal in Milwaukee, anyway. The Brewers should have traded for Dusty to manage the team just to ensure that CC gets ridden as hard as possible. I think most people are thinking that CC will have nothing left if the Brewers make the postseason this year. Esp. given his performance last year when he appeared to lose it late.
  11. I hate to pimp myself like this, but... (I hate it when ppl quote their own predictions, but only when they predict something bad for the cubs)
  12. I think Bob Brenly hit the nose on the head when he mentioned Reed would be a "wedgebuster" in football
  13. Especially since all the calls have been right in my opinion. These guys suck.
  14. Cubs have got all the calls tonight? news to me.
  15. We needed a bloop like that after some of the breaks they have been catching.
  16. Oh well, even if Prince is out at home, that hit scores Hart.
