  1. So Cuban lives in Plano. This will help make the stalking a little easier.
  2. So does Jordan Danks stay in school for his senior season?
  3. I remember when it was a big deal that he still owned the Cubs on Opening day. It's looking like he may still own them when the season is over. He will, I don't think there is any doubt in that. I pretty much expect this to be complete in Nov.-Dec.
  4. This is taking longer than the Democratic Primaries.
  5. I would seriously drop the Ramirez from my name and only be known as Maximiliano if I had that name. If the Rangers could move him for Hellickson they should. Problem is he probably won't stick as a catcher and eventually move thus not making it really worth it for Tampa.

Where can I get shoes for cheap? Mine are about 5 years old and stiff as concrete. This is the best price I have found on what I want. They feel great trying them on. http://www.discountgolfshoes.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3237
  7. Texas has Max Ramirez to deal right now if they want, and at some point I expect them to. The kid has some power, I saw him crush a ball to left center on Saturday, he hit another one on Sunday. I believe 13 on the year right now with a .370+ avg. I think he will be gone before Salty.
  8. Don't have one. Have plenty of teams that I hate though :-). I am more interested in matchups than I am of specific teams.
  9. Presumably we'd get at the very least a strong indication of signability before making the deal. I don't think that will happen with the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Dodgers, Angels, and Rangers willing to outbid each other. We're one of the big spending teams too. But we're not as desperate as some of those underachieving teams with deep pockets. How do you figure? At what point do you become desperate, when other teams make trades and become better than you? You play every year to win the WS, not to hold of and hope next year is better? I would understand your point if this was Tampa Bay and someone is asking for 2/9 of the everyday lineup for CC, that simply is not the case. If the Cubs lose in the playoffs without making any moves are you going to feel comfortable not knowing what could have been. Pie and Hill are not anywhere near an Elite Prospect that you simply hold on too. There is no guarantee of winning a WS next year keeping them. You don't know if Lee, Aram, Carlos, Soto or anyone will be healthy. If they get off to a bad start you don't know if you can make up the ground. There are ifs in every single scenario possible. I would much rather go all out on the year that the team is actually playing great, then wait around for another year that simply may not be matched. Remember 2004.
  10. NSBB needs a chat with Derosa
  11. OH MY GOD. I can;'t wait to watch us lose 6-1 when I get home. The more I think about it, the more I think Spain is going to win Euro. They will be better come 2010 too.
  12. This is an improvement. I forgot to record the game, oh well.
  13. My interest in MLS just took a significant drop. I guess Jorge Flores is my guy now. Also, according to marca.com, the deal is for 10 million Euros, which is around $15 mil. That is one hell of a transfer fee for an MLS player. If Jozy earns that fee, this could truly be the first big step in the mainstream acceptance of the American soccer player abroad. All the groundwork laid by the guys in the 90's like Reyna, Friedel, McBride, Wynalda and all the current guys like Howard, Beasley and Dempsey is being taken advantage of by this young crop of player like Bradley, Jozy and Freddy. Very nice deal for MLS and Jozy, if they had not taken that they would be complete fools.
  14. Wow, I'm psyched if this is true. I really, really wanted him to develop in Spain. Villarreal will be a great situation, especially with a loan to get lots of pt. Next step is giving Freddy 90 minutes against Spain so he can have a similar buy. Edit - Ives is reporting Recreativo Huelva is the potential loan side. Awesome if true, I really hope it is.
  15. :( I still believe he will someday be with the US. 2014 might be a better team to make a real run at the WC. Even if Bradley lasts through 2010 I don't see him here beyond that. I find it hard to see another Bruce Arena type tenure coming. Expectations have at least grown a lot over the past 10 years.
  16. all you had to say was Joba Dodger Blues and I would have read it.
  17. Joba pitched 3 innings. He also walked 3 in the 1st inning. It will be great to see the Yankees blow a 7th-8th inning lead in games Joba starts.
  18. Sven is going to make them very good. and he's going to throw out the old riff-raff players that badmouthed him. hopefully he loses an important game and they fire him 8 minutes later. I would take Sven for the US.
  19. I am surprised that no one has turned this into a we could have Volquez deal yet?
  20. Even so I think we will want some more pitching simply for a playoff rotation. Then again if its not another #1b or #2 type starter, then there is really no point.
  21. I've been thinking the same thing with Price in high A. Though if I can just make the playoffs and have him as a September callup for the playoffs I will be happy.
