    Normally, I don't mind getting rentals because we have an excellent history keeping players that we want to keep. Fuentes wouldn't be a keeper though. He's a closer, someone will pay him to be a closer. With Wood and Marmol, he's not going to do that here so he won't be back next year. Someone will pay more for him based on the belief that they can retain him to close for them next year. We'll have to pay more than we should for a two month rental to get him. For that reason, I don't see this happening. Offer him arbi and take the draft picks, though I am not sure what his current contract looks like.

    They are going to have to actually spend money this year. They should bring in David Villa to replace him. That would help, I thought I just read that reports were he was going to be staying. Hopefully this means they start spending some money this year.

    The last few years was time for me to lose a few games (OK, time for me to lose MANY games). This year, just like the Cubs, it's time for me to win. Your going down this week! :wink: So far we're even, practically speaking. Your pitching start last night accounts for 12.5 points of your 12.75 point advantage. I just hope Drew, Derosa, and Vlad remain hot. That could go a long way toward determining the outcome. My team pretty much goes with DLee and Utley, and Lee is starting to piss me off.

    The 2nd goal was executed about as perfect as any team could ever do. That pretty much showed everything that the US needs to learn how to do.

    watching it now. The 1st goal should without question count. Actually great job by the refs for not calling what everyone else thought was an offsides.

    Last year I had a Cowboys bank card throughout the entire season and playoffs. The had the best record in the NFC and lost in the first round. I then switched it to a Cubs card, right now best record in bsaeball. Should they make the playoffs I will be damned if I don't switch it to something else before the 1st game.

    I believe he is part of play until the ref recognizes him and play has already stopped after he goes off. If the ref has not attended to him theoretically he could re-enter the pitch at any given moment.

    I love listening to him. I can't stop smiling right now and I am not even watching the game at work. 3-0 at the half would have been unimaginable.

    Austria has been pretty impressive so far, being that I expected nothing whatsoever out of them. They deserve a result out of this so far.

    Yep. They hired a ton of sky guys for the tournament. Btw, Kenny Cooper was added to today's roster, good times. The addition of Kenny Cooper=Good. This means that Dempsey gets some rest (although I still expet him to start), and Cooper gets a good run out. Since we need a forward to develop, I'm looking forward to this. However, the US also added traffic cone Drew Moor. So let me know who else is up for the "Watch Leo Messi Toy With Drew Moor" drinking game: Every time Messi turns Moor: 1 drink Every Time Messi blows past Drew Moor: 2 drinks Every Time Messi nutmegs Drew Moor: 3 drinks Every Time Messi Scores: 1 drink Every Time Drew Moor panics and gives possesion away: 1 drink Every Time Messi sets up a goal at the espense of Moor: 1 drink Every Goal that comes as a result of the run of play on Moor's side of the field: 1 drink If you aren't dead by halftime, Drew Moor is having the game of his life. I fully expect a complete beating. 5-1 or so. Unless Agrentina get bored. What happens when Messi turns Morre, then nutmegs him, blowing right by him to score?

Maybe they can teach the US guys a thing or two. Good to see on Cooper. Hopefully Bradley will play this game to win, rather than just show up. Wish tonights game was on HD.
