  1. Yeah I was looking at that and I don't like it. None of the matchups are really bad, but I still don't like it. I need 100 points tomorrow.
  2. At what point am I allowed to bench Snyder for injury?
  3. Watching Marquis makes me believe they want to do something soon
  4. The problem with all of the talk of getting Sabathia and even if he leaves you get 2 draft picks is that 2 draft picks is a crapshoot at best for any team (not just the Cubs). It might be 3 or 4 years before you have any idea whether one or both draft picks will be major leaguers. So I'm not saying you don't make the deal, just realize that getting 2 draft picks is not a great reason to trade away somebody like Gallagher. As I posted earlier, if there was some guarantee that we could sign Sabathia to an extension, then full speed ahead. That risk is well worth it though. Sorry to see him go, but he is no reason to block Sabathia. We are not talking about David Price here, but a potential #3-#4 starter who is also a year or two away from maybe becoming that.
  5. chelsea signed deco. Yep. Lampard to Inter is all but done and they are in on Ronaldinho as well. Abramovich is rumored to be giving Scolari 250,000,000 pounds to spend. Robinho to Chelsea appears to be close too. Arsenal, whatcha doing outside of rumors to be losing players?
  6. If the Brewers want to give up the players for him, then yes I would be worried. I still don't think they will want to do that though simply because he won't be staying with them.
  7. Yes, I know, I need to drop someone from my mash unit. I've put almost everyone on my team on the DL at some point this season. I saw he just got called up again. I'll take care of it. He better start hitting again too.
  8. Orlando Cabrera in for the injured David Dejesus
  9. I didn't even really remember to make changes yesterday or if I even did. I remember looking at things, but not sure what the hell I did or how many starts I have this week. Not a good start to do that. I need to have a better week this week too in order to win. 0 points from my SS will not do it. 7 starts would be nice, but if I have only 7 the odds of one of them being negative are pretty good. Time to look at the lineup and see what the hell I am working with. To those who have made me offers, I will look at them but might not respond right away. Don't get all mad ;-)
  10. That's for sure. The big 4 for Germany did nothing today and Lahm/Lehmann had a huge f-up that cost them the Championship. Too bad. It could have easily been 2 or 3-0. Spain will be good in 2010, very good.
  11. Well the best team won. They were pretty much the best the entire 3 weeks too. And no penalties!!! I would not mind being in Spain tonight.
  12. I wouldn't want to pack it in against Germany, they are too good off set pieces, too big, too physical. Plus Spain are getting great chances. Kurani just looks evil.
  13. Both of Spain's cards have been laughable. Casillas didn't deserve one either for talking to the ref after Ballack's 43rd hack of a Spanish player in the first half. That was horrible too. I don't agree with taking Torres off here, even though Guiza has been good.
  14. Why was Torres given a yellow. The ref is horrible.
  15. was this about klose being kicked in the balls? someone needs to find a still photo of that... his face was priceless. You would have seen me crying if that was me taking a steel stud to the nugget.
  16. Germany got lucky on a very on the free kick. Then again with Frings on the post. Geez Spain are really peppering right now.
  17. Just think Torres is going to get a counter chance pretty soon. Germany starting to come to life.
  18. The official has not been good. No major blunders, but I agree with Andy Gray.
  19. I don't think there is a German alive who can keep up with Torres. That was a greatly deserved goal for the hardest worker on the pitch so far. Torres certainly earned it but it seemed as if Lahm thought Lehmann was going to get to the ball and eased up a bit which allowed Torres to get in there. It just seemed as if Lahm didn't know exactly how close Torres was. He should have gotten a body on Torres, didn't, and payed for it. Lahm seemed clueless or thought Torres wouldn't be able to pass him the way he did. I think I have counted 4 runs by Torres where he has given them absolute fits, and all on balls that 99% of the pros in the world would not even try for or work for.
  20. I don't think there is a German alive who can keep up with Torres. That was a greatly deserved goal for the hardest worker on the pitch so far.
  21. From the live commentary on soccernet: that wasn't even the worst part... what about that homoerotic doll show with the balloons? holy crap. Blast from the past incase anyone has forgotten. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6BmQ02VszQ I will take this over Iglesias without a doubt though.
  22. Very unlucky for Torres. Great header to get on goal too.
  23. They said Ballack will be starting.
  24. My guess would be because of lineup changes being on Sunday, but I see what your saying.
  25. Watching some MLS today, the Galaxy's defense is just flat out pathetic. Is the West this much worse than the East?
