he's only had one ND with the Cubs. The other was a 1hit loss :evil: -
I need to get Owings points from yesterday removed since he continues to come in for relief or all points this week removed if it hasn't happened at all. I also moved him to my bench to avoid having this happen again this week. Dbacks should just send him to the minors if they aren't going to start him.

25K probably doesn't cover the personal hell he went through right after. If he showed up in jeans a tshirt and contacts to a Cubs game I don't think anyone would even recognize him.

I would say this is good news.

If he translates into an All-Star appearance at 1B he can pitch in the 17th inning next year. The way he has pitched the past month he will just blow it and the NL will just lose again.

Owings relief points for me should come off. Losing his start might be a blessing in disquise for me. They should go ahead and make him a 1st baseman.

I am curious to if Micah Owings will last a couple more seasons as a pitcher. He could move pretty quickly as a hitter should he make that move ever.

I am actually a little suprised the US got everyone to be available. Wasn't sure about Jozy. Still that is 3 countries that usually excel in youth tournaments. This is going to be tough although I know nothing about what the others are bringing.

So Tim which start are you going to drop this week :-)? You could drop it down to 3 so we can play it straight up ;-). Then again you beat me in week 1 with that extra start you had over me, why drop a good thing.

Or you could look at it like I had the opportunity to do the same, and I failed as well. I hate having Adam back in the race. I'd love to see him miss the playoffs. I knew you were gonna lose before I knew I was gonna lose though. I thought I had a legit shot to win with the Mets night game, until Sabathia came out for the 9th (3Ks, CG for an extra 10 points) and Lincecum came out for the 8th. Both were over 100 pitches before their final innings. I just want to let it be known that I took you both down ;-)

I signed up with CBS to have the email me the new list of player additions and I haven't seen one in like 2 months. Oh well.

Its easy to learn. Hard to get any good at. Don't be discouraged by shooting 120+ if you have never played before.

Tex is very, very good, but he's not quite on the same plane as the other few $20 mil hitters out there (ARod, Manny). He's maybe a $17-$18 mil per year hitter in my estimation. I think a 6/108 is about the best he's looking at. If he could play 3B or something else harder than 1B while hitting what he is hitting, then he'd probably be a $20+ guy. I don't see why he can't get at least the same contract Soriano got.

Its very hard to keep a small child focused on the game the entire time, actually for more than 10 minutes. Once the child gets distracted it will distract you too, and I think this is where the problem would come. -
Does Boras represent Josh Hamilton? That will be scary someday.

Lou might be trying to give him the weekend off and with the break coming up he can get an extended rest. Hart is just a weekend stop gag is my guess.
