  2. So, to vote your own undefeated BCS team #1 is fine, but to vote the undefeated BCS team who beat yours #1 is not? Ummm, okay. something like that. Not to mention voting a team in your own conference #1. There is nothing wrong with what Pelini did. You think it's ok for a coach to vote Texas #1? Shock! My post was somewhat sarcastic, but I do think there's a difference between voting your undefeated team #1 and voting an undefeated team that you don't really think is the best in the country #1 because it could possibly benefit your team. Does he really think Texas is the best team in the country after they needed a last second FG to beat Pelini's team? It bothers me less when a coach gives his team a bump than when he bumps other teams in his conference even though he knows they don't deserve it (or should know, anyway). I've said a number of times that I think TCU could/should be in the title game. Alabama beat Auburn on a last second drive but people are in love with the Florida win, which is fine it was a great win. I don't agree with him either, but its not a huge stretch or a big deal.
  3. If you were Cincy's AD and your coach just finished an undefeated season, wouldn't you want to fire him if he didn't vote your team #1? It's perfectly reasonable for the coach of an undefeated BCS team to vote his team #1 and I think it's actually his job to do so. Bo Pelini deserves to be kicked in the balls for that vote. 4. I have no problem with him winning it. Heisman then the 1st pick in the draft come April.
  5. Did he get defensive talent? Its only been 1 year but he got Manti T'eo last year, and I think he beat out USC for him no signing day. For a school that produces LB like crazy that was a pretty big get I had thought at the time.
  6. Where exactly is this? Southlake Town Center, not far from you at all either. Not sure where in the center, just got an email about it. You are in Lewisville? This should be real close to me. Now more so in Grapevine off of 26. I'm in Southlake at least once a week too, so its convienant :-).
  7. Clausen enters the draft, no surprise here. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4721703

  9. Just found out that they opened up a BCS store for the holidays down the street from me, thought that was pretty cool.
  10. This is exactly what I want. I would not be upset if TCU jumped Texas today, though I know its not going to happen. Texas was lucky as hell last night, and I am glad McCoy's legacy won't be remembered on that one play. I really want to see Florida and TCU play. I am fully on board for the Suh for Heisman bandwagon now. I knew he was great, but didn't realize he could dominate a line the way he did the entire game last night.
  11. TCU needs a Texas loss, an SEC blowout, and hope that Cincy doesn't jump them with today's win (which they probably will). Basically, TCU needs 4 fewer undefeated teams than there are. If Texas loses I think TCU would move to #2 with the loser of the SEC game being #3 in the human polls. That would actually give TCU more of a margin than they have right now. Cinci is already 2 spots ahead of TCU in the Computer Polls so they won't gain any ground on TCU there. If Texas loses I think TCU goes to the Title Game, and rightfully so. edit: TCU is actually likely to increase their lead on Cinci just because they will gain 1 spot on them in the computer polls and Cinci is not going to gain any ground on TCU in the human polls.
  12. I'm actually impressed, it takes a lot of talent talking while stroking your Tim Tebow doll.
  13. Yeah but nobody cares about ACC football, so it doesn't matter. You had 4 "title" games today(Not to mention a huge nonconference game in Illinois/Fresno), how do you suggest they scheduled it? Huge :-)?
  14. In my 2 QB league would you start Vince Young @ Indi or Cutler vs. Rams. If it was any other team I would bench Cutler in heartbeat right now and Indi seems to be giving up some points too.
  15. This is a horribly coached game. Entertaining, but crap I would hate to be a fan of either team.
  16. Surprising answer by Cinci. Could make the 2nd half interesting.
  17. Time to get Landon over in Europe.
  18. What kind of reaction did this get on SportsCenter. I'm sure espn is falling all over themselves with this today.
  19. Two 7 a.m. starts, son of a bitch. This beats the 2002 WC.
  20. Wow, some tough groups in this one.
  21. Sweet!!!
  22. Group A is tough now.
  23. Sweet Algeria. Now lets get
  24. Not real happy right now.
  25. Pretend you have the runs, tell your boss you have to leave to get some meds. Then hit up a sports bar. Right now I'm on fifa.com just to watch the gamecast version of it.
