  1. You don't take out someone who is/was in the MVP voting and led the NFL in QB rating for a good portion of the season when you are down one point. I would hope he would want to play. This is more just pure Favre hatred.
  2. Messi win the World Player of the Year. I can't wait till the day when the US can create a player anywhere close to him. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=716683&sec=world&cc=5901
  3. Cano isn't a bad hitter and I think he'd make a great Cub. How about Z for Cano and 2 of the Yanks best minor league OF? Wins continue to be the best statistic for measuring the success of a starting pitcher. Still waiting for any proof that the really great starting pitchers average less than 14 wins for their career. You obviously don't have an answer. Nolan Ryan
  4. Minnesota is building a new publicly funded stadium, partly to raise revenue for Mauer's new contract. There's no way the Twins won't resign their local hero. The citizens wouldn't let his car get to the airport. Does Mauer get a vote? The Twins were the only team he would sign with out of the draft in 2001. There is probably a good chance he will entertain the idea of resigning with his hometown team. The odds of him leaving are too small to even think about right now.
  5. USC reloading
  6. Randy Moss looked like Teen Wolf in the post-game press conference.
  7. After Week 7, being able to even mention playoffs is a great feat right now.
  8. That was huge. Win out and win the division. Plus a boost come the playoffs.
  9. There is a job opening in Dallas tom.
  10. He said today he was trying to take more of a shot at the NCAA and less at Calapari, it just didn't come out like that.
  11. Meanwhile Liverpool is absolutely embarrassing themselves, losing 2-0 to last place Portsmouth. I don't think we will even recognize Liverpool next season and the thought of Gerrard possibly playing for Chelsea makes me sick to my stomach.
  12. Fulham continue their nice run, up 3-0 on United.
  13. Excited about the Texas/UNC game today and how Jai Lucas plays. Lots of freshman will be on the court between both teams.
  14. I like it. I'm sure Wenger is a little jealous.
  15. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/chi-17-big-ten-brite-dec17,0,3820862.story 12 is bad enough. The only schools that should be considered are Notre Dame and Texas. If they don't want in, then you stick with 11. Texas in the Big 10 would be very strange and unnatural.
  16. There is still the Daniel Snyder factor to consider. As soon as Al Davis dies he will take over as the worst owner in the NFL.
  17. If you had to pick today, does Tiger Woods break the record for most majors now?
  18. Agreed, this thing sort of feels like the Sean Taylor death again.
  19. hey. [expletive] off. plus wouldn't they cut iowa state over baylor? at least baylor's basketball program is decent and they've still got two years left of Hot Tub Griffin we have to cut someone from the south to make it even since we'd already be losing one of those scrub big12 north schools just realign them like this Texas Oklahoma Oklahoma State Texas Tech Kansas Texas A&M Baylor Colorado Nebraska Kansas State looks good to me. I think that 2nd division has won maybe 5 bowl games the entire decade.
  20. Charlie Frye to start of JaMarcus Russell. Ryan Leaf wasn't even this bad.
  21. Academics Every conference should have a drunken party school.
  22. Random school but what about West Virgina?
  23. Mine too obviously. They hyped it up the entire season, and it actually lived up to expectations. So many BCS title games have been dull this decade too.
  24. To be fair, they had great matches at 2007 Wimbledon and 2009 Aussie Open as well and Federer and Roddick had the epic at this year's Wimbledon. This was my favorite of those, 30 games in the final set. Longest final in Grand Slam history, longest since 1927, career Grand Slam record being broken. I didn't think the 2008 final could have been topped but they did it.
