  1. Untrue. His wife has kind of a Sarah Silverman thing going on and his kids are cute. http://umpbump.com/press/2006/12/23/cbb-gabe-kaplers-babies/ Yeah, that chick is a lot hotter than Sarah Silverman. When he was with the Rangers he was one of the most popular players in DFW only because every woman here was in love with him.
  2. Nothing about that game was really great or at least anything that the players did on the field, just highlighted by a fan/curse/collapse.
  3. He should have been boning black female billionaires. Are there even any? Oprah. She prefers the rug.
  4. The way I have read it is that it is two two-team trades, not a 3 team trade. One trade is just dependent of another one being completed. They said the Phillies were told Lee wanted Sabathia type money and they refuse to give starting pitchers of his age over a 3 year deal. They weren't going to resign Lee and now have control of Halladay for several years. Plus I would take Halladay in a heartbeat over Lee.
  5. Texas and OU play in the same division.
  6. I read it this morning. Trying to decide if I am even surprised at anything that comes up anymore with him.
  7. Yeah, way too much money for Lackey. But ESPN will somehow overlook the amount and say "Theo did it again." its hard for me to say its too much money because it won't handcuff the Red Sox at all.
  8. I just think people are upset that a Crimson Tide player won the award over an inferior player playing on an inferior team in an inferior league. Save the BS argument over which conference is better. Bottomline the choice was made, and NO TOBY GERHART WAS NOT ROBBED, people need to stop using that BS cliche. Deal with it. 2009 Heisman Trophy Winner: Mark Ingram. Now deal with it. Or the best RB in college football lost to a player who was worse but played on a better team.
  9. I would say you are but I haven't given up hope for my 49ers yet so I would be hypocritical if I did. Either way at this point I'd just as soon the Titans win out. Unless we make the playoffs we likely won't fall out of the 15-19 range in the draft, so the difference between 6-10 and 9-7 at this point isn't big enough to ignore the slim, outside possibility we might make the playoffs on a fluke three or four way tie. Interestingly enough, Mike Keith (voice of the Titans) was on the radio the other day and didn't rule out the possibility of the Titans trading up into the top 10 to make a run at a McCoy, Suh, Berry, etc. type impact defensive player (whoever ends up falling outside the top 5 or so). That would be extremely interesting. I think all three go top 5 maybe top 4. After the Rams as of today Tampa, Cleveland, and Detroit pick next and could all go to those teams. If they pass then maybe 1 could fall. If Detroit and Tampa pass on one of those three they deserve to lose the entire next decade.
  10. No not really, but that's ok. Really? So, Ingram- who faced ONE Top 40 rush Defense (UF) gained fewer yards in more games, and had 11 fewer rush TD's, didn't rob Gerhart- who faced FIVE Top 40 Rush Defenses? So, Gerhart had 200 more yards in fewer games, 11 more TD's in fewer games, and did it against better competition (with MUCH less help around him), but wasn't robbed? In those 5 games against Top 40 Rush D's, Gerhart had 11 TD's... 4 fewer than Ingram got in a full season plus a championship game. Yes, he got robbed, and your homerism sure looks stupid now. But if McCoy won it the award would be a joke like the gold glove because Keenam had better stats.
  11. More than anything, I'm surprised that celebs even attempt marriage. You're rarely home, and everywhere you go you'll have women throwing themselves at you. At some point, it's going to give. I'm not condoning the behavior, I'm just calling it futile to try and maintain a monogamous relationship at a young age and in those circumstances. I wouldn't even try. Not everyone is a strong as A.C. Green. And of course you're going to shack up with "regular" people, unless you want everyone to find out. Say what you will about Jeter as a player, the guy knew how to play this part of his life like a genius. As was Grace just not on the celeb level. Just banging everything he could.
  12. I have no clue what to expect with the heisman tonight outside of Tebow finshing 5th.
  13. Might be worse than the Miles contract.
  14. His temper sucks, and at the rate the negative publicity is mounting on him he will be a detriment to the PGA for the 1st couple of months. I would not be surprised if the PGA told him to take a leave before he actually did. The last thing they need is the entire focus of a tournament being built around hating Tiger Woods. He is too important for them. The PR machine is going to have to have been rolling for a couple of months before he comes back.
  15. I'm guessing he takes most of the year off if not all of it.
  16. That would be fine though.
  17. good lord, i need some snazzy pants like that. I've always liked him too. Glad to see he is doing well, hopefully he doesn't relapse though the lap band should help him to some degree. At least on the weight. I would love to see him in the Ryder Cup and tell the Europeans to go #@$$@# off :-).
  18. The British court has blocked any publications of nude photos of Tiger Woods. No one is acknowledging these photos exist but simply blocking them from being published :-k . http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/12/11/tiger.woods.injunction/index.html I like this quote:
  19. The news here said he would not coach the Sugar Bowl, i'm not a fan of that but goes along with a hire in this time of the month.
  20. Still no Voice of Reason?
  21. This
  22. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4727426 I am a little curious as to how congress even has the right to do this, I'm guessing in part because a majority of universities are supported by state funding?
  23. Cubs projected win total in 2010 just went up by 2. hawkins has been pretty badass over the past 85 or so innings. Hawkins is a pretty decent reliever. Until you make him close.
  24. I'm surprisied it's taking him this long. no kidding, he is hurting the SEC average.
  25. Sol is looking to sign with ManU. I wasn't aware that he was able to sign yet after his Nottingham debacle.
