  1. I doubt it. I think the poll drop would be enough to give TCU the bump. Not that I think South Carolina has any chance. Neither do I. Hopefully TCU gets the loser of the SEC Championship game and I think they match up very well against Alabama. TCU still has to win tomorrow. For me they are the most intriguing non-major conference team since the inception of the BCS. Plus having them run the table will be another major blow to the BCS system.
  2. If South Carolina managed to beat Florida yet Florida beat Alabama in the SEC Championship would Florida still be ahead of TCU for the BCS Championship?
  3. Will never happen. The Pac-10 is still a basketball conference first, and what do those teams add to the conference? Honestly, not much. Utah has been a great basketball program for some time. Maybe not elite anymore, but more than good enough for the Pac-10. Boise St's program would make huge stride's simply by being in that conference.
  4. This is what I am hoping for . If the Cowboys can move to 7-2 after the way the season began things will be looking really good. The D has been great as of late and Jay Ratliff has been a stud. Yeah, that's a pretty scary looking matchup for Rodgers. I expect lots of 3-steppers, quick stuff. They need a good game from Grant, but the run D is what has been great this season. Its going to come down to the Rodgers and how much time he has to throw the ball.
  5. I'll still take Peterson, but Johnson has really closed the gap this season and its very very close.

  7. I was watching the Texas NC video last night and remembernig how great Ramonce Taylor was in 2005. Pretty much the same thing, could have been 1st round pick. He was pretty much Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin. 5 lbs of weed later, several other charges, and getting kicked off the team he is now in Af2 and the CFL.
  8. He was just going to an early screening of Twilight.
  9. Can we get Owings and convince him to move to the field.
  10. #'s above the longhorn on the helmets (which was done until the 70's), lettering on the front is a little different.
  11. Its very well thought out, and considering its impossible to get this perfect he does a great job in counting for multiple factors and varibles. Anything is better than FIFA's methodology especially for seeding. I found it most interesting that Ivory Coast was so much higher in these rankings, mostly because they play so few home games, and HFA counts for so much in soccer. Of course, that just makes me dread the Brazil/Netherlands/Ivory Coast/USA group even more. I think this string of words should be banned from the soccer thread conversations.

  13. Those are pretty much just throwbacks for Texas, which I like. Miami's looked good, as does TCU. TCU could actually benefit from this as part of their mainstay in the college football rankings. Any kind of new recognizable look for them will be good, as a lot of the country is still trying to figure out who they are. The gloves were the best part of all of them.
  14. Police confirm the death of Robert Enke from Hanover 96. Looks like suicide they aer saying. Very sad. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=697028&sec=europe&cc=5901
  15. Is the Gold Glove even a relavant award anymore? I do look forward every year to see how comical the selections are.
  16. Charlie Davies was released from the hospital today, and will begin rehab with the US team doctors.
  17. Based on his career, an incentive laden deal is what most teams will be offering him.
  18. He is a complete stud. OU needs to have someone step up with him though.
  19. Is GameDay going to be coming to Fort Worth this week?
  20. I was hoping to win 2 out of 3 vs. Philly, Atlanta, and Green Bay. Now with a chance to win all 3 and move to 7-2 on the season is great.
  21. That a lot better than him looking 30.
  22. In the AP Poll 45 points seperate Florida, Texas, and Bama. In the USA Today, I don't agree with the USC ranking. LSU deserves to be ahead of them. Other than that the top 6 is how I would rank them too. USA Today 1 Florida (48) 9-0 1460 2 Texas (4) 9-0 1399 3 Alabama (7) 9-0 1389 4 TCU 9-0 1262 5 Cincinnati 9-0 1224 6 Boise State 9-0 1200 7 Georgia Tech 9-1 1118 8 Ohio State 8-2 944 9 Pittsburgh 8-1 940 10 USC 7-2 847 11 LSU 7-2 838 12 Houston 8-1 766 13 Iowa 9-1 757 14 Utah 8-1 688 15 Miami (FL) 7-2 685 16 Oregon 7-2 665 17 Penn State 8-2 552 18 Oklahoma State 7-2 530 19 Arizona 6-2 472 20 Wisconsin 7-2 341 21 Virginia Tech 6-3 268 22 Brigham Young 7-2 216 23 West Virginia 7-2 121 24 South Florida 6-2 106 25 Auburn 7-3 80
  23. Very good day of college football today. edit: I forgot to add Jordan Shipley's 11 catches for 273 yards. He is kind of good.
  24. Yes, he did. Of course, you have to have a quality arm and be able to read defensive backfields to run a pro-style offense though. Two things he can't do. This might be a really dumb question, but who was the last OSU qb to have a somewhat successful NFL career?
  25. For some reason I sort of thought Juve kind of admitted to some wrong doing.
