    According to the ESPNEWS crawl, the Hawks signed Bolland to a 5-year deal. I don't know how much it was for, but assuming Hendry didn't do the negotiating, I'm liking this move.

    Not surprised to hear the USGA reversed course on not offering refunds or Monday tickets to those that were there yesterday. Would love the chance to go to a US Open someday.

    You know this? Again, gun to my head, most any professional athlete I'll bet is a bad person, but really? I always thought he was very insecure. His whole "this team needs me" act when he was on the DL, etc. I don't think it's a stretch to say he was selfish.

    The 6 for the Bulls, '85 Bears, '08 Jayhawks. I don't count '88 because I hadn't gone there yet and wasn't a fan at that time.

    I have to believe they are talking about not playing games during that period of time. With many teams already taking 4 days off for the ASB, it would not be hard for them to take 6 days. But not televising games that are actually played seems like a horrible option. Right. That's why the quoted portion in the original post said something about allowing the best players to play, or something like that. I'm fine with taking a week off.

    Pretty much. I never found it hard to root for Sammy and the Cubs and recognize at the same time that he was a horrible teammate and probably a juicer.

    That goof that rushed the court and gave Federer is a good scare was far more interesting than that match. Soderling was either out of gas, totally overmatched, or both.

    Kronwall would get a 31 game suspension if he Kronwalled Crysby..Also for Hawks fans who complain about Wings diving, you should have seen Crosby play out his dive all the way to limping back to the bench. anyway, 0-4 on the PP while giving up a shorty...think that is the game right there. Again overall except for a few minutes in the 2nd the Wings were better. Can't argue with you there. Dude, you need to cease and desist with that avatar. That is not cool under any circumstances.

    I thought I heard Angelo say recently something to the effect that it all starts with the QB and that Cutler will make the receivers they have better. That might be, but I agree with you. We need some talent out wide.

    I couldn't even begin to justify paying what people are asking for tickets. It's a meaningless exhibition. I feel like it would be one of those things that I would leave and immediately wish I had my several hundred dollars back.

    Brad Snyder would be the best bet to replace him, but since hes on the DL, Taguchi San woudl probably get the nod because of his experience. I can hardly wait. That might be the last straw for me.

    I get the feeling (maybe it's a hope) that in 3-4 years we'll be looking back at lineups like this and laughing like we do now at those from the final games of the '05 or '06 seasons. I really want this team to give me a reason to care about them, and instead they are crapping all over themselves.
