  1. Obviously a ballpark in Vegas would need a retractable roof, and that's not cheap. We went to a 51s game a few years ago (saw Edwin Jackson pitch to Randall Simon). The place had literally less than 100 people there. Too damn hot. Aside from that, I'd be fine with a league trying there and I think baseball would be the best option.
  2. I'll watch if the series goes deep, or if I'm sitting around and there is nothing else on. But yeah, I'm pretty burned out and don't think I can watch hockey at this point without having a big rooting interest. Rooting against Detroit only takes me so far.
  3. Yeah, but do you still think he's bad? I never said he's anything special, but all indications are he's as good as any goalie needs to be to allow a quality team to succeed in the playoffs. I still (surprise!) think he's bad, but I'm resigned to the fact that the Hawks have no choice but to roll with him. But a few posts ago someone said they need to let Havlat go and get another defenseman. I don't know. Let Barker and Hjalmarsson develop and you'll be fine on the back up. Matt Walker is shaky, but he's your 6th defenseman. It's like having a 5th starter with a 4.50 ERA. It is what it is. I don't see some of the offensive guys progressing like I think the young d-men will. So spend the money on offense.
  4. No doubt, I'm rooting for the Pens. It's good for the league, even if I don't care for Crosby. And it's Detroit. I would never root for them.
  5. I'm not deleting Game 6 against Vancouver off my DVR anytime soon. That Kane goal to go up 7-5 will go down in Hawks history.
  6. 99 Hawks games this year. Wow. I think I probably watched a solid 85 of them. Such a fun team to watch. Center Ice was money well spent.
  7. I said a couple times I thought getting deep into the second round was a success. I think this team got invaluable experience through this run, and it will come in handy in the next few years if the Hawks can get decent goaltending.
  8. What a bummer. I'd have really liked to have seen the Hawks give the fans one more home game, at least.
  9. It looked like Huet thought he had the puck. He wasn't making any effort to get over. Whatever though, like I said, I'm not blaming him for this loss.
  10. I don't know what Huet was doing there, but he can't be blamed for that. Nice job, Wings. It was a hell of a season. They got farther than I think any of us thought they would. They have some serious issues to deal with, but still. What a great year.
  11. Cheli scoring the GW would've been an extra nice twist of the knife.
  12. If they keep up the sloppy play like this, we won't be at this long.
  13. I'll have to find Wiedeman's call of that save later. Wish we could have heard Foley call that one. Probably would've been another Bannnnnnnerrrrrmannnnnnn! moment.
  14. This game is a toss-up. Detroit is getting more chances, but Huet is matching them. The Hawks still just need a bounce to go their way.
  15. One game doesn't mean [expletive]... and I still don't like him... but I'm not going to rip on him when he comes up big ONCE in this big of a situation.
  16. That wasn't as good as Turco's save against us, but still pretty amazing.
  17. They had a man without a stick out there. Bad break Osgood was able to freeze.
  18. I can't believe he just did that.
  19. HOLY [expletive] KANE! KANE! KANE!
