  1. We should care, because this joke and a half determines home field advantage for the World Series. So why should we care? We have a winner.
  2. Is Hossa definitely gone? I hadn't heard that, though I can't say I was really paying close attention. No more Cup discount? Seems the best way to keep him would be to NOT win the Cup.
  3. The only time I ever hear this guy on the radio is when he is on with Murph. And you can hardly hear or understand what he's saying due to constant interruptions about BRO-OW-OW-OW-OW-OWN'SCHICKENITTASTESBETTERGOSEEMYFRIENDSOVERATBROWN'SCHICKENWHAT'SYOURBEEF?!
  4. I don't equate Babcock's comments with Q's at all, and I think Q's fine was appropriate. He knew damn well he was going to be fined for what he said. It was just a ploy.
  5. The Hawks don't, that's for damn sure. I agree with DM that it would at least be nice to give the fans one more home game, even if it's a loss. And of course it's not technically over. But if Huet starts Game 5, I give them a 1 in 10 chance of winning that game. He's that bad. And it's been the same thing all year with him. No improvement whatsoever. Flopping too early, slow from post to post, bad rebounds. Worst of all, he has choked on the big stage. Winter Classic, down the stretch when he could have won the job, and then finally today. This was his chance to prove he could be the guy. It's clear he can't, even if his contract means he'll get the job next year anyway.
  6. Looked like he elbowed Helm in the back of the head. Whatever.
  7. I hope they put another one in on Huet. What the hell. If it will make more clear to Tallon that he won't cut it, it's for the greater good.
  8. He'll be here pretty soon to tell us the season is over.
  9. Phantom call there. The refs know the way to keep this game from degenerating any more is to keep things uneven the rest of the way.
  10. I hope the fans recognize at the end of the game that this might be it and I hope they don't boo. A standing ovation for a great season is in order.
  11. Huet's best friend, the metal. Haha, and then another shitty rebound. That guy is so awful. McGuire is right, rebound was "juicy."
  12. What, that's all it was? Come on.
  13. He threw a shoulder into a guy way off the play, obviously just to start some [expletive]. I can't argue with that call, even if I share your disappointment that he won't get to keep doing what he was doing.
  14. And I'm not seeing what you have to gain by giving up even a small percentage of whatever chance remains? Just to stick it to Huet? Given that I think the difference is negligible, yes.
  15. There's a reason Crawford was an AHL goalie. I'm not saying Huet is good. But this is like the "should we call up Vitters" threads. Yeah, I know. I'm just talking about for today and Game 5. What can it hurt to start Crawford? Except to embarass Tallon? The series isn't over. There's no reason to throw away your best shot this year, even though it's a slim shot. What I'm saying is, considering how slim the chance is, Huet isn't so much better than Crawford that it's worth playing him.
  16. How far out of position can Huet get? What a loser.
  17. Okay, yeah, Keith earned that penalty.
  18. I know what Doc and Eddie are going to say about this. Youthful, stupid aggression. Whatever.
  19. Haha, Eager is gone. That'll be the game for him. Totally silly. Seabrook, I don't know. I think it was Seabrook. I didn't see a penalty there.
  20. There's a reason Crawford was an AHL goalie. I'm not saying Huet is good. But this is like the "should we call up Vitters" threads. Yeah, I know. I'm just talking about for today and Game 5. What can it hurt to start Crawford? Except to embarass Tallon?
  21. Speaking of people who have sucked today, Kane. Jesus dude. Remove head from ass.
  22. Try to get him sharp for the game 5. Discouraging as it is, this series is not over, and whatever sliver of a chance you have is gone if Crawford is your goalie. Really? Is Huet better than Crawford right now? I don't think so. Well, it depends. Huet today? No, Crawford is better. But Huet isn't always this bad. Hot Huet would be better than hot Crawford, and hot Huet is our only shot. And when was the last time we saw Huet play well? I realize he didn't get much of a chance down the stretch, but that's because he was inconsistent and Q obviously didn't trust him. Nobody can wave a magic wand and change all that now, this summer or in October. He still sucks.
