I wonder if the Cubs were obligated to pay his bills since it happened while Castillo was "at work." If not, the Cubs are certainly doing that man a huge favor. Legally speaking, it's a close call. And not very interesting. But it depends on whether what he did was considered "within the scope of his employment," basically.
