    Unfortunately I don't think that distribution map on The506 is right. My directv guide says we are getting Dallas-Tampa on Sunday, not Minnesota-Cleveland.

    Terrible comparison. Yeah, not at all. The technology has ruined the men's game. I read an article about this in (yeah, I know) The New Yorker recently. The only problem I have with the women's game is the gratuitous grunting. Venus did it the other day while hitting a drop shot. Seriously? It's just silly.

    My guy. Still amazes me how he went untouched by every team for as long as he did and now he's barely holding onto a roster spot. He had some real bad habits, but you could see the natural talent that he possesses. I would've loved it if he was our backup this year. Mine too. I don't know if it was lack of dedication or what, but he just couldn't stop with the stupid. As someone else said, I know it couldn't happen, but he's hands down better than the current backups we have.

    I think they have to sign a RB. They had to know about Jones before cutting Rideau, right? Peterson and Wolfe just can't cut it as backups. Forte needs to be able to sit more this year than he did last, or else he isn't going to make it through his rookie contract. Who's out there for backup running duties? Edgerrin got signed, right? Yeah, somebody picked him up. Seattle, I think.

    He previously had an indefinite suspension for not following team rules and was kicked out of a practice this training camp because he was out of control. There very likely was more but that's just what was mentioned last night. This wasn't just a momentary slip. He jacked his own teammate who was trying to calm him down and went altogether bazerk for 10 minutes. Yeah, given his history, this is appropriate. The ESPN gurus were saying this guy was a potential 2nd-3rd round pick. Hope he's making the most of his education.

    That's sort of the point Hendry tried to make. In a backhanded way, his answer to the whole interview was, "these guys all played like [expletive] and there's no reason they should have." He asked Mac where he picked the Cubs to finish before the season. He said first, of course, and Hendry said everyone loved the team in the winter. So, basically, don't blame him. Problem is, and Mac pointed this out, a lot of us did have concerns about this team. The Bradley signing (which a lot of folks here and elsewhere loved), Gregg, etc.

McLaughlin loves the sound of his own voice, though if you had a choice of talking or listening to Al Hrabosky talk, you'd flap your gums a lot too. Also not surprised to see pouty Hawk so low on the list.

    They asked some pretty loaded questions. I don't really blame Hendry for being a little irked, if he was.
