Bobby Cox too. Because I'm an unabashed homer, his 2008 season removed Edmonds from any all-douche team, past or future, for me. I think anyone that played for the 2005 White Sox or 2006 Cardinals (Edmonds depending on your opinion of him) earns douche points from Cubs fans.

If we could somehow play our way into the 5 seed it would be awesome. Bulls/Hawks would be very entertaining IMO. I think the Bulls will win one, perhaps two games off one of the top three teams. Oddly enough, I like our chances better against the LeBrons than Orlando or Boston.

Ryan Theriot had no chance whatsoever of turning two there and I'm moderately shocked anyone is saying he did. I would have been incensed at him if he'd tried because there's no way on God's green earth he'd have done it, he probably wouldn't have even gotten the out at 2nd. He made a poor throw to home, Koyie Hill didn't do the best job corralling it, and Weeks beat him. Frankly, the game was lost with Lou's insane managing and our lack of timely hitting, not because of that play.

I for one am ecstatic we threw out the idea of signing Kerry Wood two minutes into the offseason and then ended up with someone way worse for 2M less. -
And not that it particularly matters, if we win out we could get the 6 seed. Philly has Cleveland twice in this last stretch.

Signing mediocre veterans right after they leave the Cardinals on a high note is a stupid idea. (And yeah, Looper had a losing record, blah blah blah. Fact is, he was still much better than he should've been by any logical reason in that role.) As long as Harden is somewhat effective, we'll be fine.

We hit 4 or 5 line shots at Astros outfielders, they win on a bunch of seeing-eye BS. Sounds about right.

Meh. As long as they don't finish ahead of the Cubs, I don't give a crap where they finish. Actually, to be completely honest, I would love to see a Cubs/Cards NLCS. I don't mind the Cardinals most years, but the last few years they've made no effort whatsoever to have a contending team, and I'm kind of tired of seeing them be in the playoff race into September despite that (and in one case win the damn World Series).

Tyler Hansbrough's done a nice job in this tournament of proving he's no more than the 3rd best player on Carolina. I've been saying that all year, but no Carolina fan will listen to me. Oh, well.

Tyler Zeller or one of their incoming freshmen. No one else on their current teams is good enough, except Lawson who will be gone (and is black, nullifying his eligibility for the ESPN God honor).

I really wish if MSU was going to forget how to play the game, they'd have done it against a Big East team. Maybe UNC's really this good, though.

It's mostly because the national media can't shut their damn yaps about the guy. Being an Illini fan, I have an inherent hate for UNC, but having him crammed down your throat for the last 4 years has gotten really old. He's the Tim Tibow of b-ball. I don't know much about basketball, does Tyler have a future in the NBA? He'd have to become more of a 3, but I'm pretty sure he'll find his way onto a roster next year, at least as a 9th man somewhere.
