He was good for that team for two straight seasons and no one else ever played him in the bigs again. Almost like the other teams know not to take Cards' numbers seriously.

    I just saw the highlights where they only showed Wells' batters. That has to be the unluckiest no out outing in the history of starting pitching. I think the pitch to Molina was the only one that wasn't right where he wanted it or off the plate. The 0-2 pitch to Pujols missed badly, it was supposed to be well outside. I don't know how unlucky it could be, at least 3 of the 6 Cardinals wailed away at the first pitch, so clearly Wells had nothing.
