  1. Rose and Noah are the core. Give those guys a big-time scorer in the offseason and make a couple of nice other moves and this team can definitely contend next year. I hope the Bulls play really well against Cleveland. I'd love to at least steal a game.
  2. There are. Lou doesn't know how to use them. Caridad, for example, would be very useful when our starter has just given up a slam and we're now down by 10. I sincerely hope they're not that short sighted regarding him. Giving up on young pitchers because they initially struggle in the bullpen isn't going to help the team. No matter where they struggle it's not healthy to give up on them - look at Marmol. He sucked as a starter in 2006, and the last four years he's been the most unhittable pitcher in baseball.
  3. Whatever his idea is I am sure that it's the complete opposite of a good idea.
  4. This is a good time to remind people that NBA.com has free audio feeds of every game, so you can listen to Swirsky and Wennington. Also, if you're in the CSN-Chicago area but can't get to a TV, Bulls.com has an available Web stream of the CSN feed.
  5. Carlos Marmol is mind-blowing when he's on and he's been on all year.
  6. Well, got 1 in, that'll work. Come on Aramis.
  7. Now's a good time for our good buddy April-Fuku to come up big.
  8. to be fair, the bullpen probably would've given up some runs anyway. Then you make them give up runs instead of letting our 2nd-year major leaguer, who's had to work hard the last 2 innings, go over the 100 pitch mark for no real reason. oh i agree, but we saw it with dempster and now with wells, lou has no confidence in the pen so he's going to ride his starters longer than he should. The sad thing is that crappy pen just got Braun and Fielder in 3 pitches, but they'd have to be lights-out til July for Lou to change his mind about them. He's a lunatic.
  9. Cubs fans can really be absolute [expletive] morons sometimes.
  10. Colvin coming in on a double switch

  12. Charge another run to Lou. His ERA is taking a hit the last 2 games.
  13. Lou's fear of the pen is going to result in all our starters having dead-arm by July 20th.
  14. Byrd needs to quit hitting double play balls.
  15. I don't know about pure luck, but we have guys entrenched at both positions he can play. I suppose we could've kept him as a bench bat.
  16. What was that about breaking the cycle of giving up runs immediately after scoring them?
  17. I just dropped him. For what?? Catcher is so thin this year, I can't imagine anyone of value being on waivers I got Olivo off waivers a couple of days ago when Montero went on the DL.
  18. FWIW, Judd just mentioned that Theriot told him recently that he needed to pick his spots to run better than he did last year. And there was one.
  19. Actually he's known to have above average patience... Oh. My mistake then. For some reason I had it in my mind that he was a free swinger.
  20. Fonzie charged with an E-7, Weeks gets a double.
  21. Weeks, you son of a bitch. You're never ever that patient.
  22. Hey, hey, Marlon Byrd's got a cannon!
  23. I didn't think there was last year.
