  1. Seems kind of risky for Stubbs to have broken for 3rd on that grounder.
  2. Wiki says the Sox have only been on WGN nationally since 1990, so there's that.
  3. Random question: Have the White Sox always made appearances on WGN nationally, and if not, when did that start? Hey, another rifle-arm for Theriot.
  4. It wasn't a bad pitch really, it pretty much sawed him off but he was able to muscle it out there. Fontenot just made me think about it, has he hit the ball to the opposite field? In the entirety of his life? He flied out to left last night, I believe.
  5. Quit chasing the [expletive] sliders and letting fastballs down the plate go by. For chrissake.
  6. His craptastic offense wouldn't look so bad at 2B either.
  7. Pretty much any outfielder on our team except Soriano makes that catch.
  8. You're welcome for that inning, Harang. 0 of the 3 outs were recorded on pitches anywhere near the zone.
  9. No one on the Cubs seems to feel like swinging at strikes today.
  10. How the hell are we only 2 games out of first?
  11. Yep. I'm pissed at this season's start, but quite frankly I wrote this team off, at least as far as winning it all goes, before the calendar even flipped to 2010. There's just not enough talent.
  12. We have a collection of pretty crappy offensive players for the most part in the lineup. With the guys who actually have some semblance of talent (Lee, Ramirez, Byrd, Colvin) he's done a reasonably good job. All four of those guys have looked the part at the plate even if the results aren't coming yet for some. Nady has been good thus far too. Can't blame Rudy for all the ABs we're giving to guys like Theriot, Fontenot and Koyie Hill (and even the first two of those got their hits tonight).
  13. Yeah, I just posted that in the GDT. Most predictable development of the night, especially after the way the Cubs and Bulls games went, was STL erasing a 4-1 deficit.
  14. I looked at the Brewers/Cards score earlier, and it was 4-1 Milwaukee, and I just knew the Cards were going to win. It's been that kind of night. And sure enough, some no-talent ass-clown named Nick Stavinoha just hit a pinch-hit 2-run homer in the 9th to put STL ahead 5-4.
  15. It takes a really special kind of crappy to have your backup center drop 27 and 10 and STILL [expletive] lose to the worst team in the league.
  16. Why does every NL Central team perenially see the Cubs as their arch rival? Pound for pound, the Cards have been the most successful team in the division. The same reason that in every other sport in the universe, the teams that have historically won are the most hated teams, and yet it seems everywhere I look there's another fan that hates the Cubs, the poster child for NOT winning. Basically, it makes no damn sense.
  17. LOL, typical fake rally bull [expletive].
  18. That was the pitch, right there. He missed it.
  19. I forgive you for all your crappiness so far if you park one here, Fonzie.
  20. CB's at third. I don't know who the 1B umpire is but he's very white.
