Ron gets pretty unbearable, but without Pat's dry wit and great comedic timing, there is no way Ron in the booth would work out. Pat Hughes is so good at what he does that he could probably do a Vin Scully and commentate without a color man, but giving him a foil like Ron makes him even better.

For some reason, Ron didn't remember/notice that Fukudome flied to center to lead off the inning, and when he asked whether the flyout was hard-hit, Pat replied without missing a beat that "it was one of the most dramatic fly balls in the history of organized baseball". I love Pat.

Tyler Colvin at the moment is my favorite Cub. This says more about the other members of the team than it does Tyler Colvin.

Carlino being able to graduate early has been a big plus since the Bruins are so weak in the backcourt. Just curious, what is Peegs? Peegs is an IU board.

I hope for everyone's sake, especially Colvin's, that he rakes tonight. Just make a good impression and he'll keep getting his shots.

Rain delay/rainout a possibility, but lineups up. 1-5 remain the same, but 6-7-8 is now LF Colvin, 2B Baker, C Hill.

I have like two dozen Cubs shirts and three Cubs hoodies. I don't really wear any one shirt much more than the other. But I do have a Ron Santo jersey that I wear on occasion.

Any one of our minor league arms can give up rocket shots all over the yard for the league minimum, and the Cubs could've used $3.3 million somewhere else. But no, that's too simple.
