  1. If somebody could tell me it's too early to be alarmed by Russell striking out in 11/19 AB's, that would be swell. It's too early to be alarmed by Russel striking out in 11/19 AB's. It's too early to be alarmed by pretty much anything that happens in 19 at-bats besides injury, though I too would like to see better work at the plate
  2. It's not that you're old, it's that your 10 minutes response was objectively stupid. I think the DH is stupid. I think it's arcade [expletive]. So if my response to what I think is a stupid idea is stupid, so be it. Your response isn't stupid because it's responding to another stupid thing. Your response is stupid because having pitchers practicing hitting a little bit more would not do anything and is an intrinsically stupid idea. Thanks for explaining it to me Dad, I had no idea. Also, I don't know what sarcasm is and that was an earnest and very real effort. I'm still laughing at "progress", as if this is the [expletive] Industrial Revolution and not a game.
  3. Lol "progress". We've fixed baseball, guys! Bad hitters don't have to hit anymore!

  5. Yeah, yeah, old guy in waiting over here. Why stop there? We should be able to DH for any crappy hitter in the lineup. After all, entertainment!
  6. Maybe spend 10 minutes a day on hitting instead of changing the rules of the game. Just spitballing.
  7. Hit and run and somehow the ball ends up hit right to second. #Cubes
  8. Thibs is so stubborn when I'm sure he has access to stats like this and still tries to keep Jo in there when he was absolutely terrible Yeah, that too. I love Noah an insane amount, but he was hideous this game and hasn't done much all series. 5 alarm scorching hot take. He's right Well, he did have 19 boards in Game 2 (would never have guessed that). But usually he contributes offensively, and he hasn't this series. Not that Mirotic has made an ironclad case to take those minutes.
  9. Anyone who wouldn't is a nutcase. Coghlan is pretty good with the bat, but get Gomez into an outfield with Fowler and Soler and you have a bunch of stud hitters and an outfield that can run down just about anything
  10. Last time he had a season ending injury, 2011 happened, so pardon me if I don't weep for these jackasses if he's done for the year again

  12. As if we weren't already screwed next round, Rose gives Cleveland 2 extra days of rest. You'd think considering he played about 4 decent minutes in the game he could've at least kept them from getting a wide [expletive] open layup.
  13. They get some different statistically unsustainable bull [expletive] their way every single year and yet it's always with the "yep, only a matter of time till this stabilizes!" Believe it when I see it.
  14. Hopefully we have found something with those 2. We need all the help we can get back there
  15. I'm going to give him time to adjust before freaking out. I'm probably about a 3 on a scale of 1-10
  16. Herrera and Ross are the greatest power-hitting tandem since Ruth and Gehrig
  17. HERRERA! Had a good feeling about that. He battled his ass off to stay in that AB
  18. Fell off the roller coaster and broke every bone in his body
  19. Well, that's definitely going to be the winning run the way this week's going.
