  1. Bryant has had enough of your [expletive], rest of baseball
  2. 70 pitches in the 3rd inning. If we get to the playoffs, one can only hope this insanity A) continues and B) pays off.
  3. I was at the walk-off slam game too (apparently half the board was). 2005 became mostly dead to me when Nomar tore his groin off.
  4. Figures that an offense-first guy would be floated in response to Thibs.
  5. I was at that game. Randy Wells pitched maybe his best game as a Cub and we won 12-0. Fun day.
  6. Things I barely remembered - The 08 team had a 6 game losing streak in late August/early Sept. Now that I think about it, I vaguely remember the NSBB freak outs...especially in the game threads. Oh, absolutely. There was a bunch of 'we peaked too soon' type stuff. I'm sure I got involved in it at some point even though I don't remember ever worrying about the 08 team right up until the bitter end.
  7. There's no tinfoil hat about it - LeBron won't foul out of a playoff game unless he takes someone's limb off. That's just a fact. The only time I've seen a key player foul out of a playoff game was Shaq against the Bulls in 06 and 07 and that's only because he was committing about 15 fouls per game.
  8. Without any real knowledge of how NBA cap stuff works, I'd be surprised if anyone important left the Bulls this off-season.
  9. A half was plenty of this garbage for me tonight. Sometimes I wish MJ hadn't sucked me into liking the Bulls before I realized how [expletive] stupid the NBA is.
  10. I bought the Cubs BP hat back in 2006 (darker blue than the regular cap and with the walking bear logo on it), and it's the only Cubs hat I own. I love it.
  11. That was the greatest week ever. The week before was the first time the Cubs had shown some semblance of vulnerability (lead got down to 1 game going into that series I believe) and they just came out and blew Milwaukee to kingdom come.
  12. That was a 'lay down the gauntlet' series. We're on our way, NL. Get ready.
  13. Eh, Castillo started because it was a lefty and the lefty won't be there when he bats again, it's fine.
  14. Well now I really wish Motte had gotten out of it
  15. Don't worry about the Cardinals. They're gone. Worry about the WC and we'll get the Cardinals in the NLCS. If they're really gone, then we'll get them in the NLDS since they'll have the #1 seed.
  16. Damn it. Would've definitely made things interesting if Motte could hold it at 3-1.
  17. JD seemed to disagree. Yeah he seemed to get that out pretty quick He definitely did. That was a really slick play.
  18. Wood came into today's game with a career-high 15.8 HR/FB%, and it looks to be headed up.
  19. The silver lining is there's no way in hell we should've won last night, so this game is gravy
  20. Yeah, this is getting weird at this point.
  21. This is St. Louis, even mentioning them at all is risky, let alone predicting they're going to fail.
  22. Youngest position player (2nd-youngest player overall) in the Southern League now after being promoted.
