They don't. Both Houston and the Cubs only tanked for 3 (though both were bad before doing so) and they both look to be at the least decent this year. If you need 5, you're an inept franchise.
Two of the games of this series will be happening concurrent with Bulls games, so if that means the Cubs win those two games and I don't see much of it, I'm cool with that.
They're going to win anyway, but FWIW, Kang actually HR'd against them to tie the game just now, so we know he can in fact get a hit when the other team doesn't wear blue.
Pitching around Lind (the other idea) would've been pointless as Lind walks a lot and ostensibly would've sniffed it out. Ramirez got a piss lucky hit. It's fine.
Agreed on both points. I do like him in general, but he is a bit over the top for the broadcast booth.. So you'd like him to... Get shot out of a cannon. Tough but fair
Gettleman has drafted really well. I don't really get it either, but he's earned my trust. I suspect they liked Humphries, but he went just ahead of them.
