  1. I'm very disappointed that I couldn't find a Seth from Superbad "slapping God across the face" GIF to use here.
  2. I have a feeling a playoff opponent or two is going to rue the day they let Murphy slide to us on waivers.
  3. That worm turned in a hurry. Rockets left and right this inning. Keep it up, Rizzo.
  4. It was cool to be fixed on offense for 2 whole days
  5. Brandon Dixon and you go with B Dix on your jersey? A-Rodism gone wild.
  6. Why the horsefeathers did he do that on a 3-0 count
  7. Someone got in Javy's ear after that first AB based on his strike zone judgment in the second one. And of course he tags and gets to second.
  8. Williams lined one off one of the poles that hold up the basket and it somehow did not go over, staying in play. Was originally a HR, changed to a double.
  9. The one in a million shot off the post of the basket. Might never see that again.
  10. Copy/pasting previous titles bites me in the ass. If we keep winning you're gonna keep pretending we're on the road and that's just the way it is.
  11. The pop-up Clark St. Sports store had an El Mago shirt and several jerseys when I was there 2 weeks ago. There may be more choices there or elsewhere by now.
  12. I planned to have my friends and my annual trip coincide with the Angels for that reason but I can't do it in freezing-ass April.
  13. Kirk Gibson just pointed out on the Tigers broadcast that Joe relinquished the DH by moving Zobrist to second and called it "such a Joe Maddon move" for some reason.
  14. It would be super cool if this was the start of a nice long run.
  15. Let's not have this be the game where we actually score some runs then blow it
  16. Plus a Friday "just in case it rains" off day in freaking Texas, which makes no sense at all. Doubt we've ever had 2 scheduled Friday off days.
  17. Not at all. He is a pitcher. Any day he is still breathing is pretty much a win, let alone providing value.
  18. We've scored like negative 5 runs a game for the better part of 2 weeks, that would be horsefeathering annoying to watch whether it was dongs or 'productive outs' or wild pitches bringing in those negative 5
  19. I almost grabbed Zimmermann in fantasy before thinking better of it. Don't make me regret that non move, Cobs.
  20. If he's taking Russell's ABs, good. If he's taking anyone else's ABs, it's probably still ok but less good. Also, even though it makes perfect sense, it's kind of funny that the week Darvish probably becomes toast and Quintana continues to look like ass (granted, less bad in his last start) and we seem to desperately need a 4th playoff starter that we go trade for another bat.
  21. He's quoting (or paraphrasing) Papa John. I think it's to discuss how ignorant I am being for asking if Fukudome faced additional difficulties beyond the stupid headbands and shirts (and man, would there have been a far different media climate surrounding that today, whereas 10 years ago it was mostly shrugged off, beyond Kosuke apparently publicly condemning the 'horry kow' shirt, which was hideous even at the time). FTR, it was an earnest question, I didn't know if I missed something else.
  22. As always, all times are ET, and I'll be using AP rankings until the playoff committee rankings start. I only include games that don't cost more than a cable subscription to watch, so I'm omitting ESPN+ games from 'nationally available'. Suffice to say that if you're a MAC or Sun Belt fan, the game is probably on ESPN+ (though a few will still be on ESPN3, which does not cost the extra $5/month).
