  1. 6 more of those double plays would be just terrific
  2. Oakland tied the division race up today. If we can't make the World Series, I really hope Oakland (or Cleveland) does because it would be so fun.
  3. I was in the bleachers last July for the makeup game against the Brewers when they were giving away the Rizzo/KB bobblehead. It was hot as hell and I waited in line for several hours before the bleachers opened, was easily one of the first 3,000-4,000 or so people in the park, and they "ran out" of the bobbleheads before I got to the front of the line. Apparently, they only set a certain amount aside for the bleachers or something? Really dumb. I went to that game too, in large part to get the bobblehead, and had no luck either. I suspect they handed out a bunch of them before the original game got rained out and probably didn't have many left for the make-up.
  4. Me too, they don't scare me even a little bit.
  5. When Lester gets those pitches off the corner, he's pretty damn good.
  6. A friend of mine and I joked last weekend about potentially losing the World Series with our rotation of supposed-to-be-studs to an Oakland team fronted by Edwin Jackson, Brett Anderson and Trevor Cahill. Let's just hope that doesn't happen.
  7. This is like the STL series in 15 where Matheny stuck one-armed Grichuk in CF and no-thumb Molina behind the plate.
  8. So do I, which doesn't make any sense the way we've been going. Joe sure does seem to get tossed a lot lately.
  9. Yeah, if Yu comes back healthy he's 3rd. horsefeathers, even if he's not healthy he might be 3rd at this point.
  10. Every ball hit would have gone out in a hurricane. It was blowing right to left, I believe Provided Lester's record-scratch run of terribleness levels off somewhat, I think I'd have Q 4th behind Hendricks, Hamels and Lester, and Montgomery's closing in on him.
  11. The Brewers have been dog horsefeathers in day games. Not that it was planned that way. In before Craig Counsell makes a comment about bringing sunglasses to the game because why wouldn't the first game of a weekday series be a night game.
  12. Lucasfilm wouldn't allow it? I thought I had heard that they would and Ole Miss just didn't want to go that way; but them not allowing it does make more sense.
  13. I only know this because Len pointed it out on Twitter, but this isn't true - he pitched here with the Rangers in 16 (and was great in that game as well, just less great than last night)
  14. I twisted my ankle leaping around like a maniac hugging strangers in the bleachers. Good horsefeathering lord. I've been lucky to see some all-time (regular season) classic endings in that park (Soriano slam & Lester bunt to name a couple), but that might have been right at the top.
  15. My friend and I decided to do the Chicago double tomorrow so maybe between them we'll see a local team win
  16. This is my first game at Wrigley this season. Let's make it a fun one.
  17. Quintana is so horsefeathering schizo. It's ridiculous. Fantastic in 5 of 7 innings and terrible in the other 2
  18. In before someone says eff you Joe West for that third strike while not talking about him whiffing on the fastball down the middle the one before. Willy does that a lot, it feels like. But also, horsefeathers Joe West
