I can't remember specific instances off the top of my head but my memory is that this isn't the first time JD has made it clear what he thinks of an opponent without really saying anything -
Yeah Rizzo isn't wrong writ large, but he literally was offered more money by the Cubs than any of the 29 other franchises even came close to offering, so it's weird that he specifically is being such a jilted lover about this. Like if it was Schwarber, who actually did get better offers when he was cut loose, it might make sense.

Oh he definitely was. There's no doubt in my mind at all. The home/road splits he had in his MVP season were pretty crazy as I recall. Pretty annoying because I always felt like if the Cubs could've gotten a couple days to regroup by winning the division they could've done some damage in the postseason that year.

I can't emphasize enough that there is zero [expletive] percent chance I'm paying $5 to get a game I am already paying for MLBTV to get when MLBTV's whole thing is every out-of-market game.

Can confirm too, this works. I ran across it in a Reddit post. There are other 'perks' that MLBPAA members are supposed to get, though I haven't gotten them yet - I don't really care if I do, saving the money on MLBTV is perk enough.

IIRC Ohtani was an absolute train wreck his first spring training, so if I understand the timing correctly Suzuki will be the 2025 NL MVP.

I'm bracing for him to magically revert to at least something resembling STL performance levels for short stretches and be overall way better than he has been most of the time since he left. I know it's unlikely but this is STL and I never rule anything out
