    I'm sure it's not actually true, but it certainly feels like that stupid-ass team is consistently unusually fortunate on horseshit contact, at least against us.

    Obviously MLB does not give a rat's ass what I do, but I simply do not watch extra-inning games that aren't the Cubs. I used to seek them out if I ever had time to kill but I have no interest in watching them under the fake-runner rule.

    I'm an idiot. Do we think something nefarious could increase a player's barrel rate? It seems like that's cheat proof but we've learned pretty much nothing is Knowing what’s coming would increase your barrel rate. And no I’m not suggesting they’re cheating. I knew I was right to call myself an idiot, I was thinking of manipulation of the physical bats and not about sign-stealing type stuff.

    He came off the IL like 2-3 weeks ago and he missed all that time in 2018 or 2019 with the concussion he got trying to rob Fowler’s walk off dong vs us when he actually was hitting well. He also got IL'd in 16 after making the greatest catch I've ever seen unfold as it happened in SF.

    It’s only baseball so I wouldn’t expect anything like that. Now in 2025 when Texas returns to Kyle Field all bets are off. For that one I may be in the Texas family section too. My best friend’s kid is dying to play there and I think he’s got a real shot. That would be so weird for me. Might be sooner than 2025. I’m hearing it could be as early as 2023 that OU and UT join the SEC. They’re trying to legally wiggle out of their BigXII contract and some speculate that could be accomplished this year. Interesting. I would have thought between the CFP not expanding as both sides assumed it would when this move was being discussed (for UT and OU) and the new SEC TV deal not kicking in until 2024-25 (for the SEC) that both parties would be alright waiting it out for now. But you can't put a price on the awkward factor I guess.

    If you're willing to walk a bit (15 minutes or so), once you get north of the Clark & Southport intersection, you can legally park on the street next to the cemetery without paying.

    Oh hey look I've had Tatis in my lineup all year and he's been injured, way to go moron I'm moving Bo Bichette from DH to SS, dropping Tatis and replacing him with DH Shohei Ohtani, and dropping Albies for Jose Altuve. Money should be neutral on both transactions.

    I don't follow college baseball closely to earn ND fan bona fides but that was a really fun series. Better enjoy it while it's there because FSU fired their coach and ND's coach played at FSU and lives in Tallahassee.

    I think they strike out less (anecdotal but I've heard it mentioned on broadcasts) but the weird thing about having significantly worse players on offense is that it doesn't horsefeathering matter if you make contact or not.

    Honest to God that single transaction might make me doubt Hoyer more so than anything else he's done. That signing was stupid and pointless from the jump and never had a chance to be even remotely decent.

    It's absolutely incredible that no matter what the hell this franchise does they suck with RISP. You'd think just by dumb luck they'd hit decently in that position once or twice. As I recall they were merely middling and not terrible in 2016 but basically every other year it's been a catastrophe.
