    It is admittedly becoming much harder to hate him these days.

    Seiya is absolutely destroying the ball almost every time up. It's awesome to watch.

    Outside of the final 2 minutes of each half (for those who don't bother clicking). In my experience, it seems like many clock operators in the sport were either curtailing or outright ignoring the clock stoppages anyway outside of close-and-late situations, so that's fine.

    I just looked up his numbers on Baseball Savant and holy crap are they disgusting. By far career worsts in barrel rate allowed, xBA, xSLG (over .600!) and basically every other stat you could imagine. Throw Alzolay in there and see what happens. Can't do any worse.

    I think among MLB teams that's correct, but the Sacramento Kings are right there. That franchise has been Rochester, Cincinnati, Kansas City-Omaha (I love that teams used to split their home games, what a ridiculous relic of the past), Kansas City and now Sacramento.

    Noting this is the first I've ever heard of any of this, his Wikipedia page says Wagner wrote publicly anti-Semitic stuff in the late 1800s.

    I've upgraded from '2005-ish pretty boring season that fizzles out in midsummer' to 'reasonably hopeful to be buyers at the deadline', so I guess that's a bit of a change.

    That was quite a fun inning. Nico and Happ are a heck of a lot of fun to watch right now. Really nice to see Bellinger looking like a version of himself again.

    No bad seats at Wrigley unless you're behind a post, but I think I still like the 300s (were 400s at one point) the best dollar for dollar. Bleachers are always great though if you sit in the right spot.

    I'll be quite pleased if CJ Stroud is the pick for Carolina, but I've had a man-crush on Bryce Young for some time so I'm titillated by the recent rumors that they will pick him. There's also a report from The Athletic's beat writer that Carolina and Houston have discussed a trade back to 2 (which could be related to the Young rumors), but it doesn't seem like those are serious talks at this point.
