  1. I stopped using the apps on my pre-2016 Samsung in favor of Amazon Fire boxes/sticks pretty quickly. They were hot garbage. The TV was too, for that matter; it broke 5 years in. That has been my experience with most TV's and/or Blu-ray players that I have owned. It usually isn't even worth bothering with the apps, as they become outdated and obsolete much sooner than the TV's themselves. I have to say though that my experience with Sony TV's has been very good. My 4 year old Sony OLED still runs all the apps just as well as my Roku or Nvidia Shield TV. I bought a Sony after the Samsung crapped out and I would agree. I was OK using their apps for about a year and probably still would be, but because I was having intermittent WiFi issues I got the new Fire stick last Black Friday.
  2. Yeah, I have the same issue with Bally Sports here in STL. Seems like most of those very specialized apps aren't available directly through the TV. I know my pre 2016 Samsung doesn't support a lot of apps now. That could be the issue as well. I stopped using the apps on my pre-2016 Samsung in favor of Amazon Fire boxes/sticks pretty quickly. 3. Hard not to love Alex Caruso. He saved the Bulls' bacon at the end when DeRozan was completely spent from being run into the ground by necessity.
  4. No kidding. Chavez is beyond toast, getting anything with even a scintilla of possibility of becoming good is a great job by Jed and Carter.
  5. Correct, he was IBB'd: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=suzukse01&t=b&year=2022 Yeah he was thrown 2 balls and then intentionally walked. A waste of his PA for the game. But that's still considered a game he played that he did not get a hit, thus the hit streak ends right? That's how I always interpreted it, but I could be wrong. Apparently it doesn't. This from Baseball-Reference:
  6. I could've done without that video of the Rays shifting right to where Happ hit the ball prior to the final pitch of the AB.
  7. Also, this is not news, but Giannis is just a tremendously fun player. This wasn't even that good a game for him but he affects everything whenever he's out there. Gravitational star.
  8. I thought that game was pretty fun although when your expectations are to get slammed maybe that colors the view. The Bulls missed so many shots that were either good looks (DeMar and Vucevic especially) or right at the rim. Game was there for them.
  9. Yes! 100% agree, I don’t understand that decision at all unless Suzuki is hurt and couldn’t play the field. If he was only intended to be used for 1 PA today and nothing else the 5th inning with 1st base open is a complete waste of his PA And look who pops up to end the game My guess is Ross told him he'd have the day off from fielding and stuck to that, but you're right, if you're saving him for a certain spot, that wasn't the spot. Stupid rookie blunder by a guy who should know better by now.
  10. Well that [expletive] strike 2 call basically ended the game
  11. A gapper for the lead here would be just dandy, Willy. Would hate for the Rockies to get away with walking 3 dudes in the inning
  12. Way too many guys on this team that are near locks for a GIDP in a big spot
  13. Keegan Thompson was spectacular tonight
  14. Yeah I didn’t understand why he faced McMahon. Guess Ross showing a little trust in him plus it’s only the 5th inning. But definitely didn’t look comfortable out there I believe McMahon was his 3rd batter, he had to face him.
  15. Yet another game siphoned off Marquee, although this one will be for free on YouTube.
  16. I'll just switch to Trout, then. I was going to do it if Stanton got injured anyway.
  17. And taken out of the game. He'd thrown 80 pitches. Baseball can be really horsefeathering stupid sometimes.
  18. Do we think they'll waive the 5-year waiting period and induct Seiya into the Hall of Fame right after he retires or make him wait like all the schmucks?
  19. It's the Pittsburgh home opener, though why it's at 4 instead of at 1 or 2 is beyond me.
  20. Their opening weekend was well attended, and then it turned into an abandoned building yesterday I don't know for sure what the weather is in Detroit, but on the west side of the state it's been in one of those stupid gray areas where it's not quite freezing but it's too cold to do anything outside for extended periods.
  21. Saw this as it happened. Insane play. I think the only catch I've seen that's as good at this park was when Heyward went dead sprint to the RCF wall and injured himself making the catch.
  22. Rizzo's decision making in Javy's body well, after seeing him on the team maybe it's more like Mike Moustakas's body I was going to say that Villar looked far more burly than I remember him looking
  23. There was a #44 prior to Rizzo on the Yankees. Oh, I know, not saying it’s a rational annoyance Javy's Twitter handle at one point included 23 (and might still), so I assume he would've preferred that all along. Obviously unavailable for the Cubs. That explains his Mets change but not his Tigers one since he's not wearing it for them. Bryant wore 23 in college, I believe.
